These barriers were a lifesaver over and over!
I had water backing up in my yard and getting in my back door. A couple of times it happened overnight and my entire den was flooded with a couple inches of standing water. I bought two of these, filled them up when it was going to come a downpour, situated them around the door, and they worked FABULOUSLY!!A word of advice... placing them in a semi-circle around the door worked much better in my situation than placing them straight across the doorway.

works well but the nozzle broke off when stepped on
I put this in my driveway as we are at the bottom of a hill and in a heavy rain the water enters our yard from the street. I put the hydrabarrier out there for a month before the rains began, just to see how it would work, if it would leak, etc. I bought the blue Hydrafill adapter that makes it easy to fill the bag; using this it only took a few minutes. So rapid setup in an emergency is a plus. The only problem I had, and which few of you would experience, is that my driveway is in the public access horse trail. After awhile, a horse stepped on the nozzle and broke it off. Actually, i was amazed that a car hadn't driven over the Hydrabarrier earlier. The bright orange color really helped, I guess.

This filled easily and is set in place
My neighbor doesn't sweep his drain out back so when it's pouring and his overflows, mine can't handle double water so I had to get something to separate our properties and divert his water to keep it from spilling over the lip of my basement doors and flooding my basement. This filled easily and is set in place. Now I'm just waiting for the next big storm to test it out! Review will be updated if for some reason this product doesn't do what it's supposed to do.

) and it does a great job protecting my home
I have purchased this product before (if it rains in CA, it pours!) and it does a great job protecting my home. You can control the height of the barrier by measuring out the water you put into it. Saves over sandbags- can be emptied our and put away when not needed. Durable - using mine for the 2nd year with no wear and tear on the plastic. I only wish they made 2-3 foot lengths for shorter areas.

I can't wait to use them I think they are going to work perfect for my needs
I am only rating 4 stars because I haven't used these yet. I can't wait to use them I think they are going to work perfect for my needs. When it rains, I get a run off from my roof top (no gutters) and this runs right next to the side of the house. These are going to help direct the water away from the house. They are made of very heavy material (possibly vinyl), so I feel they will last a very long time. UPDATING: from when I first purchased these. They have worked out great and I would recommend them to anyone. When I put them out and filling I make sure to straighten them out, because once they get to the 1/2 way point they are heavy. Once the rains are done I empty them out, hang them to dry and have not had any problem with mold etc. inside.

Didn't work very well and barely lasted 3 months
I purchased two of these to try to create a bit of a well around an outdoor drain in a concrete crawl space so that a pump would have more water depth to work with. They were easy to fill and easy to setup and sort of work. Sort-of because they really didn't form the same kind of seal with the surface that a sandbag would. The surface I was using was pretty smooth but that wasn't enough. To top it all off they didn't even last 3 months. The bags were not in the sun, in a sheltered environment, and were not moved at all yet the plastic started to crack at the ends and water leaked out.I'm in the SF Bay Area so no temperature extremes here. Waste of money. Oh yeah and the manufacturer only offers a 30-day warranty.
