My wife has bought this four times. She loves the mellow taste. This is not the same. It has a more green tea taste. She used to use two teabags for a four cup teapot, but now it just tastes like boiled water. There is no longer a golden tint to this green tea. I think they have changed the tea. We are very disappointed in this tea and won’t be buying this again.

Great tasting tea if especially if you're a little bored of regular green tea. At first sniff, it does smell a little overwhelmingly smoky but tastes just right.Also comes in good tea bags with the usual drawstring so you don't need to find a teaspoon!

I like green tea usually, but this has no taste and a very bad smell that puts you off straight away. Not my taste at all

This is not the tea I was expecting. It does not have the delicate flavour nor the same composition as the real HOJICHA by Clearspring. This product is not the same. It is a gross copy.

some where in between black and green but some how better than both! have it almost everyday now, also blends very nicely with a little black tea

Excellent taste, healthy drink . Everyone should taste it, a good alternative to ordinary tea and coffee.Thios is one of four other similar teas.

Great product, tastes amazing

I had not tried this variety before and was pleasantly surprised. It tastes quite different to the usual green and black teas, but is very pleasant. It is very mellow, not something robust that you might need first thing in the morning.
