The movement sensor works fine but needs a longer wire
We previously had the Angelcare AC401 with our first child and we had no complaints with that. Unfortunately it went missing during a move so we needed a replacement and thought I'd get the newer model.This one has one major flaw, its SO quiet, Microphone is not sensitive at all and has to be placed right up next to the child, and even then the handset speaker is so low that it has to be on maximum volume constantly, and even then you're not guaranteed to hear it properly.The movement sensor works fine but needs a longer wire.Overall i would advise getting the 401 instead of this,

Great product
Great product. Does exactly as it says!I use this just now with chicco next to me crib and have no problems at all. I took the wooden base out of the mattress sleeve and sat the wood underneath the pad then popped mattress on top of that. Haven't had any false alarms with this and it detects strait away that baby is not in crib.

Poor battery life
This monitor would be pretty good if the battery life wasn't so abysmal. The battery life is about 2-3 hours after being fully charged. It seems this is normal for this monitor (after checking reviews from different sellers). It is a real shame as I also have the slightly older version, which does not have this problem and works brilliantly. Anyway, be aware that this device will probably need to be in it's charging port the majority of the time.

Perfect for peace of mind
We love the sensor mat (although it had a few false alarms in the beginning) our daughter is 9 months old and we still use the mat for peace of mind.The touch screen is easy to use and the monitor works very well. The battery life of the monitor drains quite quickly when it’s not on its base.

Such a great thing to have as a new parent!
It's amazing for a first time paranoid parent like me - even though my baby sleeps in a cot next to mine it helped me massively to be able to fall asleep at night and not just watch my baby breathe lol.

A must have for a good night’s sleep
I highly recommend this product! I couldn’t sleep without it.The alarm is loud enough to wake you if necessary. I have read reviews saying that the alarm goes off randomly causing a panic but I have not had that experience.It was really easy to set up and is easy to use. The walky-talky function is handy too.

Does the job but could be better
It’s good but ac401 is better in my opinion, I used that for my first and wasn’t comfortable taking it off so decided to buy this; it’s good and does the job, just found the older model slightly better!

Not the easiest bit of kit
Really impressed and gives peace of mind. Very difficult to set up and use tho. Ok once you know what you’re doing but difficult to fathom with a newborn around.
