Q: How do you advance or sharpen the pencil? I can't twist it to get more product, and it's a hard plastic pencil so I'm unable to sharpen. Help.

I use a standard eyeliner sharpener and it turns out perfect! I absolutely love this eyeliner and lip stain set. Very neutral color, goes on smooth without drying my lips. Stays on ALL DAY!!!! Hope this helps.

Q: Do you have to apply a gloss over this? Is it drying? Does it flake or crack?

This product does tend to dry up, but it would totally depend on your lip as well. Doesn't flake but could crack if you don't apply lip moisturizer before it or on it.
