SoundLink Around Ear II Noise Control: Active Noise Cancelling Noise control: Sound Isolation

I bought these with little knowledge of headphones after reading a few reviews on CNET.com and stuff.tv. I was looking for a good quality headphone to replace my ailing beats headphones, and after rumours that Apple's iPhone 7 may not contain the standard 2.5mm headphone jack I wanted to try and ditigalize and clutter my life and decided to purchase these headphones for their bluetooth connectivity. Bose also has a fantastic reputation and my aviation headset is Bose, so I assumed if they can master clear sound in a noisy piston aircraft then their personal headsets would be out of this world- which they are! (I bought this headset on Amazon because of the next day delivery with Prime).Positives: The sound quality is SUPERB. Clean and crisp.I use the 'virtual barbershop' video on youtube [...] to test the surround sound. In terms of music, I use the song 'Ogden's nut gone flake'- Small Faces, and found these headphones exceeding my expectations in terms of the surround sound and 3d sound in spoken word, music and sound effects (which means it's great for podcasts too). The sound is crisp and well rounded, slightly flat which means if you're like me and listen to varying genres of music you'll be pleased with the sounding of it all. The design is lightweight and flexible and after having these headphones for a few days they've already loosened up and begin to fit my head even more comfortably. Battery life is 15 hours (tested and confirmed). 15 hours on a single charge!!!! Make of that what you will! Other features such as being able to switch between my iPhone and Macbook are great. Taking calls is slightly strange as you can't hear your own voice because the sound-proofing is so good.Negatives: These following two negatives did not warrant dropping a star from 5/5 to 4/5 because they are insignificant, but worth mentioning.Firstly there is no way (that I am aware of) to check battery percentage while using the headphones unless you turn them off and on again, losing connection to your devices. Secondly, the virtual assistant's voice is well constructed, but for the limited amount of things she has to say (compared to Siri for eample), she could be slightly less robotic. Finally, the bass doesn't compare to that of a wired headset, but then again that is expected as it's running on batteries and not a wired connection. If you're a bass heavy user then wired headphones are your best bet.Finally, these headphones are exemplary and frankly for £200, they are almost a steal. The amount of quality engineering you're getting is just fantastic. I highly recommend and endorse these headphones to anyone wishing to upgrade, de-clutter their cabled life or whatever. Another bonus is that I just bought a 2.5mm-->bluetooth adaptor for my TV so when my husband's asleep I can watch the nature channel at full volume in silence (which of course is compatible with any bluetooth headphone). A fantastic quality headphone which I hope to develop a long relationship with.

These are made of High quality ,durable materials that combine to make them extremely comfortable to wearfor as long as you need too and beyond. The cups are shaped to fit over you're ears , so i was surprised at how small they were. They fit really snugly around my pretty large flappers , to give good Noise reduction. As they do not have electronic ANC. Don't worry this wasn't an issue when i was travelling on the bus or walking down a busy high street. They are also really light to wear, and they don't squeeze you're head or give you a stiff jaw.The sound quality is really a step up from what i'm used to, (£50 models to be found all over Amazon)The best way to describe it is like watching HD TV when compared to standard definition, the quality of the soundmakes you're favourite music or video's sound just like they are supposed to, as this high res. sound is quite neutral. This does mean those who love a ton of bass on everything, will have to use an equaliser yo boost it.But trust me when i say, it brings a whole new level to you're content.Connection is dead easy, the Bluetooth /power switch places the phones into pairing mode and then you just select from you're phone's Bluetooth menu, and that's it, you can even use NFC to connect them to you're phone, by tapping your phone against the right ear cup (its still connects via Bluetooth) or you can use the Bose Connect app from the 'Play store'. These Headphones have been out for a while and the original price was about £250 so you're getting £100 off. If you want some good Headphones but don't want to spend silly money m then you cant go wrong with these.I can highly recommend them for those who want to really make the most of their Music and other content.

I ordered these headphones in the morning and they were delivered the same evening. My first concern was whether they would be a comfortable fit as I am cursed with a fairly small head and usually have to buy children's sizes in caps but these were a snug fit and so comfortable that I was able to use them for around six hours, after the first charge which took 3 hours, and found I actually forgot I was wearing them as they were so comfortable. The pairing process was so easy even to someone as non-tech minded as myself and once they were paired they immediately found the device I was using just by flicking the switch up on the side. I was able to change between iMac, iPhone, iPad and my two TV's, both of which use a Bluetooth transmitter adapter, literally in seconds. Before switching on the headphones I found the Noise Cancelling was not good as I could hear everything around me but when they were switched on and connected to the prefered device all outside noise was eliminated. I am also fairly deaf and would normally wear hearing aids but I was really impressed with the clarity and quality of the sound with a nice level of base to provide a pleasing listening experience throughout the volume range which at maximum was far too loud fo me. Initially I thought the price a little high although after using them I am very pleased with the purchase. I am so impressed that I can highly recommend these headphones to anyone.
