Super effective for Sciarid flies, would highly recommend.
We have a 30ft polytunnel and this is the first year we are using it. We decided to put raised beds along one side. In the process of filling them we introduced Sciaraid flies. We use Hoegaarden and compost + topsoil, and some of the compost bags were wet and had these flies fly out. I didn't think much of it.About two weeks later it was quite a big problem - we have automatic watering in the polytunnel and with the exposed compost, we had hundreds of these things as it was damp, while being lovely and warm. Unfortunately the yellow stick traps were completely overloaded and even though we use garlic spray it was really, really bad. The ceiling was covered and nothing seem to be working. I ordered two packs, the first one I put on that evening and second one seven days later (storing it in the fridge in between).I wasn't overly optimistic as we still had a lot of flies a few days later. I applied the second one and after about two to three days I noticed a massive reduction and they were completely gone by the end of the week(12-13 days). The best thing is the flies attracted spiders and other wildlife in the polytunnel and the nematodes(while treating the flies) hasn't affected the spiders, beetles or other wildlife (ladybirds). A great product and will be using every few weeks to prevent any repeats.

Nemasys
Used before . Good product . Easier if you have a sprayer otherwise you have to divide between eight watering cans

Best Vs gnats
I had gnats all over my indoor plants, tried hydrogen peroxide, sticky sheets, chemicals ... Nothing was permanent. Nematodes are the only 100% effective solution.

So far, so good...
So far, so good. We bought it to try to keep the bean fly down as there is no known insecticide to treat them. This year has been bad, having lost two thirds of our runner bean plants to this pest. Since the nematodes were introduced we have seen a dramatic fall of loss, but it is too soon to tell if this is down to the nematodes or the life cycle of the bean fly. This year is over for them as the plants become immune to the fly once they grow strong enough to cope, so it will be interesting to see next year if we introduce the nematodes a little earlier if the runner bean plants will be affected.

Doesn't work on lawns
I brought this after reading it can cure Frit flies in the grass. It doesn't sadly. Prob better suited on veg patch!

No show nematodes
This product is totally useless.Watered them in last year around the base of my apple and pear trees. This year every apple and every pear has been infested with codling moth grubs.A complete waste of money! If i could i’d give this a zero star rating.

It's worth a try to save your gooseberry bush
Used this last year and I think it worked on my sawfly gooseberry issue. They did feast on the leaves but numbers were less maybe.Bought a two pack this year to be prepared. I used the first tub immediately and put the second in the fridge. It was clumped into one corner of the tub and didn't break up well.Anyway, used it on the Bush (and other places) I have had the sawfly caterpillars occasionally, but they seem tiny and haven't done much damage so perhaps it is working (before trying this they turned up suddenly and stripped the Bush almost overnight)I keep checking to see if numbers are increasing, but so far so good. I'll put the second pack on soon I think.Quite expensive and faffy to use, but I *think* it works?
