It unfortunately didn’t fit at my hotel I stayed at. It was just slightly too small. The door at the hotel I was at had a huge door lock that this would not fit on in any way and I tried every method.I will keep using this in the future though, for future stays. But, if it’s a big door lock it will not fit. I think I stumbled across an uncommon door.It seemed very easy to install and it’s of good value!

I’m glad I found the option to have the metal version, This is the first time I bought one and I was holding out because most of them were made with plastic instead of a full metal design, so that’s cool. It works exactly like the product description, and any of the videos that I’ve seen people using them other than people getting stuck because they were using the wrong size. but yes, just my opinion I suggest getting the full metal one and be sure to measure the hole and latch if you’re using it at home if you’re bringing one to a hotel or something, I suggest getting more than one of them and different kinds. That way you have somewhat of a variety and they’re not very big, pretty compact and this one came with its own drawstring bag which is pretty cool.. thanks y’all 🙂🤙🏻

thought this was a great design and its an added security when you stay in a strange place that have the key to your room. after a few trips i found that this lock only work on older/simple door lock. for those new lock where the locking mechanism is larger or some hotel lock. this does not work too well. i actually got the plate stuck because it was too small and was lock inside the room. lucky i manage to remove this security device without hotel staff having to remove my room door. i still think this is a great product but will not fit all lock/door. i think the plate that you fit it to the door need to be redesign.

ok I had my doubts but when it came in i tried it on my home door. When i traveled i put it on the hotel door. My 2 gfs an i slept SO MUCH better knowing it was there. My husband manages a hotel at night and the number of times he has come home to tell me staff send a stranger up with a key to an occupied room is REALLY not ok. Piece of mind when you travel matters.

It doesn't look like much, yet it holds the door securely. It's easy to install if the gap between the door and jamb is sufficient. I discarded the chain that was included because it's chintzy and sometimes gets in the way during installation.I didn't do a kick test - I don't get compensated for product testing and the hotels I stayed in probably would've protested. To insure against someone else doing that I paired this with one of the two other styles of lock from other vendors.All three - this one, B0BJJV5H5R, and B07HM7X6TT weigh about two pounds together. They might be an easy and useful addition to your 'travel kit' whenever a hotel stay is on the itinerary.I think it's a good idea to have something else as a backup for a different reason - this (and both options I used) doesn't work with all doors, but I was able to use at least one everywhere I went. At every place except two on our recent 18-day road trip, I was able to use at least two.

I used this for traveling offten it works really well no problems when testing it as well

This added security feature is necessary for anyone traveling! You have to see it to believe it. Low cost for a quality product, that actually works. Travelled alone to another country and would have had cleaning staff walk in on me if the lock wasn’t in place. This is an amazing invention, and worth every dollar.
