The left side (driver's side on US models) A-pillar trim is the black plastic trim piece between the front windshield and the driver's side door glass. (4) A-pillar clips (rivets) are included with the cover . Fits the following models: 2002-2006 R50 MINI Cooper Non-S Hardtop/Hatchback 2002-2006 R53 MINI Cooper S Hardtop/ Hatchback 2005-2008 R52 MINI Cooper and Cooper S Convertible When your windshield is replaced, you will need these new A-pillar covers. There are (4 ) hidden screws behind the seal of your MINI's door jam. Windshield installers don't know about the hidden screws and routinely break the tabs that are on the A-pillar during the windshield replacement. Once the screw tabs are broken, only the 4 plastic rivets will hold the cover in place and.... it won't stay very long! From our experience, these parts are not re-usable once removed. If you re-use your old A-pillar trim, there is a very good chance they will fall from your MINI somewhere on the road when you least expect it... The 'molded piece' can be re-used, but if it is missing, then you need to order one per side.
