I bought and tried 3 other pillows with loft as I'm a side sleeper and just a standard foam I had originally.I thought it was too firm at first, but then I laid my head on it and noticed how much more comfortable it was compared to my usual pillows, a huge relief for my typically tight neck and shoulders.This by far has been noticeably improved for my sleeping and have not had neck aches like I had in the past.

I think you should never use ordinary pillow, As this is 21st century and technology have improved alot. The memory pillow is best thing you can have in your bed.
