This is a great story and ideal holiday reading. The DVD series is perhaps more succinct (and don't include vol. 4), but the original story is better.Very pleased with purchase.

This is a series and what a series! I have watched the TV adaptation and thought it was brilliant Deborah Harkness writes excellently and bring characters that do spring to life in your mind. Every single book is so worth reading! Welcome to your new book addiction!

Loved the series on sky and wanted to get the books . Always tricky but book 1 brilliant , book 2 a bit harder going but some good details you can’t get on the tv and book 3 amazing . Also really enjoyed times convert and can’t wait for the next book out !
