Good size oven gloves as I've got big hands, but fit perfectly with room for more. 4* for heat resistance as not as good as my old standard cotton ones that these replaced. Not used for bbq yet so cannot comment.

Absolutely not suitable for an average/slim ladies hands, they are double if not triple the size of my palm. I wish this was mentioned in Description. I was prepared they would be larger but not that much. I needed them for kitchen work for myself and I just can't do anything with it, half of the glove is empty and it is floppy. I am not petite and short, just have a normal size hand. They possibly are great protection from the heat but massive

These gloves are a bit of a struggle to get on, I can't quite push my fingers to the ends. Getting things out of the oven is much easier using gloves with fingers and the silicon does seem to prevent slipping. They do go up over your wrists which is a bonus. Heat wise, you can still feel warmth but hands are well protected. If you hold onto anything for a protracted length of time the heat will penetrate so be a bit careful-ie have a place cleared for the dish you are taking out of the oven before taking it out instead of holding it while you clear a space. Good value for money and do the job better than mitten types or ones that are joined together
