Easy to install it, great picture quality
As someone who takes home security seriously, I recently purchased the Wyze Cam Outdoor v2 Add-On Camera and have been extremely impressed with its features and capabilities. One of the main concerns I had before purchasing this camera was the need to pay a subscription for video recording. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Wyze Cam Outdoor v2 Add-On Camera comes with 14 days of free cloud storage for recorded video. This is a great option for those who want to keep an eye on their property without having to pay a monthly fee.Another concern I had was with the camera's movement detection capabilities. However, I found that the Wyze Cam Outdoor v2 Add-On Camera does an excellent job of detecting movement and alerting me in real-time. While it is true that the camera takes only one picture per detection, I have found that this is more than sufficient to capture any potential intruders or suspicious activity on my property. In terms of setup and installation, I found the process to be straightforward and simple. The camera is designed to withstand the elements and has held up well during inclement weather conditions. Additionally, the Wyze app provides a user-friendly interface that allows me to easily access and review footage from my camera.Overall, I highly recommend the Wyze Cam Outdoor v2 Add-On Camera for anyone in need of a reliable and affordable home security solution. With its free cloud storage and accurate movement detection, this camera is an excellent choice for those who want peace of mind knowing that their property is being monitored and protected.

Easy install and easy to use
I will do a follow up review as I've only had the camera for less than a month. First of the packaging and quality of the camera and station hub is of acceptable material and quality. Instructions and set up is DIY friendly. Video quality and motion detection is acceptable. Night vision however I have mixed feelings. Don't get me wrong black and white quality is good. The color night vision comes if there's a faint light and that's my problem. So the camera is sensitive enough to spot the light and give you color but the rest of the sorroundings area that's dark takes a hit, meaning it stays dark because the camera sees the faint or small light. You can disable the auto feature and just use the black and white infrared night vision but the color night vision is a bit misleading. In short I would still recommend this system due to it's quality and ease of use. Some cameras come partially charged already. I suggest you charge them completely before mounting.

Mediocre video performance and horrible motion detection recording - AVOID
UPDATE 12-1-2022: and apparently the battery use sucks as well. Compared to my over 1 year old Outdoor Cam v1, the v2 battery is running out substantially faster. Check out the comparison of the two in the photo...ORIGINAL REVIEW: Bought this v2 Outdoor Cam reluctantly, as I've already had a v1 Outdoor Cam for almost a year. Was hoping the new Starlight color night vision would be great - but it's not. It requires a fair amount of ambient lighting still in order to work properly, otherwise it just switches to regular IR night-vision. While the field of view is *SLIGHTLY* wider than the v1, the biggest problem with this camera (and pretty much all Wyze cameras from what I understand), is the extremely BAD video recording when it detects motion. Despite the fact that I'm on the 2 week free trial of their subscription cloud storage, it almost always delivers video recording many seconds *AFTER* the event has begun, so most of the event isn't even recorded. They also frequently cut off even when motion is still occurring (this happens on my v1 as well, so it's indicative of all Wyze outdoor cams). These are not mounted far away - I can literally reach them with my hand from underneath a soffit on my patio - so motion detection should be fine.I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere for wireless outdoor cams, despite their being only a handful of choices. Wyze never did fix their motion detection and video recording, and even with cooldown off, it still misses a lot of events. The only redeeming quality is that battery life (at least for my v1) does seem to average 3-5 months before I need to recharge, and that's not bad. That said, the main function should be video recording events without losing several seconds before and after said event, and Wyze still can't work that out. AVOID.

Super easy to setup. Most importantly get videos of any uninvited guests
The media could not be loaded. Everything really cause they are wireless battery operated you can put them anywhere at any time to ensure best position for recording events. They are not designed to continuous record. But you only need them to record when there is action in their sector.I have 3 base stations supporting 12 camera's. As you can see from the photos, I use them for the nursery in the WE when the baby is here. I use them to track my dogs activities, deck, doggy garden, etc. Then the entrance is cover by another camera. These are perfect for the application in which I am using them. But you might need a combo of Wyze camera's to support your requirements. I am about to setup the 4th base station shortly as I keep finding more applications for them.I saw some disturbing footage of my elderly "almost blind dog" slipping and taking some bad falls which enabled me to fix the issue that was causing the falls. It was an easy but if it wasn't for the camera's I wouldn't have known she was exposed to that risk.

Awesome quality.
The only issue is one camera goes offline often and we can't get it to connect without uninstalling each time

Works well, battery weakens a lot over time
2 years old. I recharge it about every 4-6 weeks now. Eventually, soon, it will brick. Battery is really touchy. System disconnects itself on certain updates and has to be entirely reset. It’s slow and time consuming. But I do like these. Easy for me to use and no wires to deal with. Not a good alternative to a wired installed DVR security system, but if you want to check who’s coming by, this is fine.
