Must have for at home and on the road or for whatever.
I love these solder seal heat shrink connectors. Have used 2 already and they work awesome. A wire broke on my trailer inside the plug so I found a piece of wire and connected them and used a lighter to solder them. It works great till I can redo the plug. Tried one out on another wire and worked great. A must have.

Very easy to use, especially with a heat gun
These worked great to connect an after-market oxygen sensor to a Subaru Outback engine wire harness. Definitely like the ease of use with both soldering AND heat shrink with internal hot-melt glue to make the splice water tight.

Works well, easy to do, does require a couple ounces of patience.
Have to be patient with the heat gun in order to properly melt the solder, and then keep the wires still while it re-hardens, but otherwise easy-peasy way to butt-splice wiring securely.

Work well. A few notes on use
I've tried these connectors a few times and here are the pro/conProFast, easy to useLow temp solder meltGood shrink ratio for use with dissimilar wire sizesTwist the wires together first if possible for a stronger jointCon:DO NOT use crimpers on the solder/metal center of the connector. The shrink tubing will rupture and lose it's water tight capacityI added an On/Off switch to a Wobblelight and this shrink tubing/slider connector worked great. I think it’s 3:1 shrink ration meaning the tubing shrinks 3 times smaller for a tight seal.

solder seal heat shrink
not the easiest to use but if you are looking for a watertight seal these are the answer, the crimp heat shrinks on my boat trailer failed these fixed it

Works in tight spaces on old wiring
Works just like they claimed it would, easy to use in tight spaces and on old brittle automotive wiring.

Easy to use
So much secure than crimp but connectors just wish I could find terminals with the solder.

They really work!
Have used them on several motorcycle projects and they are amazingly effective. I was doubtful that a heat gun could melt the solder but it does and causes connector to shrink into a water resistant electric joint. What a find!

A great way to simplify wire splicing
These are just what I needed! My highly modified jeep had a harness fire which burned through a couple dozen wires all bundled together. It is not worth getting a new harness and I was dreading having to crimp and/or solder all the wires back together when I came across these. It made the job very easy and with a minimum of bulk where the splices are. The initial application of heat locks the two wires into place until the solder can melt. The end result is an electrically sound, strong and waterproof connection.

You must use Flux, just a little dab will do!
I used it to repair a very small wire dangling from my rechargeable battery that fits in my heated mitts! Worked like a charm!
