Takes the edge off the pain
It does give me some relief with my herniated disc. It is a little awkward laying on the floor. I make sure I'm facing the television making the time go by faster. It is easy to store. With my arthritic hands I had a hard time adjusting the white plastic piece. Over all it is a descent product for the price.

Nice stretch
Awesome back stretcher. Oddly I laid on it face down and it didn’t do much. Oh well can’t win them all.

Next to Impossible to Assemble It
Made my back problem worse trying to assemble the thing. The plastic is so hard I shredded up my hands and threw my back out even more trying to bend it to catch into the hooks. I know it has to be strong enough to support the back, but my gosh it needs at least two people with hands of steel to put it together.

It works.
My wife has lower back issues and she says this helps ease the pain with regular use. It's easy to adjust the curvature. The price was right. Recommend.

Worth it!
I have back pain from a car accident about a half-year ago. At the insistence of my lawyer, I saw a chiropractor 3 times a week for 3 months. It not only didn’t help but seemed to make things worse. I was to the point of having difficulty getting out of bed and other mundane tasks which encouraged me to look for other low cost, non-pharmaceutical, non-surgical methods of relief. I purchased this itemthinking, “what have I got to lose?”I followed the directions starting on the lowest setting and tried the different positions in order from the least to the most stretch. It didn’t do much but I’ve always been flexible so I put the apparatus in the second setting and assumed the least stretch position. I found it a bit difficult to relax but when I did… 3 gentle pops, like my vertebrae just slid into a better place. I felt good enough to do some housework that had been eluding me.The instructions say to use the stretcher twice a day. I was s bit reluctant as I didn’t want my improvement to regress, but I did it again that evening and got a few more gentle pops. I slept more comfortably that night and awoke feeling better with much more range of motion than I had had in months. Two days with this product was better than 3 months of chiropractic appointments for me.I would give 5 stars for results, ease of assembly, weight, and portability; however, if I am very picky, I would prefer to have some kind of removable/washable cover for the unit to ease in cleaning and keep my long hair from getting caught in the holder tabs at the top. Definitely use it in comfortable clothing with flat seams. It is plenty sturdy enough for my body weight (about 150 pounds). It is easy to change from a low setting to a higher one, but the arch tends to stay too bent to stay in the tabs if the user tries to adjust down. The pad for the spine is nice but could be more cushioning. The hardest part of using this is figuring out exactly where to put your tailbone.

One of the only things I've ever found for relief
I have dealt with sciatic nerve pain for over 10 years now. I have tried hot pads, cold pads, back brace, lumbar support seat cushions, massage therapy, chiropractor, hot tub jet massage, stretches, physics therapy, exercise, prescription medicine such as ibuprofen (high dose), diclofenac, gabapentin, topical pain relief medicines and lotions, also cortizone shot procedures, probably more things i can't even remember right now. Only 3 things have ever helped me.1. Laying in bed for several days taking tons of medicine until the nerve swelling went down.2. Being fully submerged in water helped take the weight off and actually felt pretty good, but only for the time actually being in water.3. This product. I don't know what it is, somehow it is the perfect shape, but it gives so much pain relief and I'm incredibly impressed.I'm not usually one to leave reviews but this lumbar back support stretcher is so good for me that I hope this review will help someone else.I'm a 31 year old male that is in pretty good shape other than my back problems. My pain is right down almost on my tailbone. The pain spreads out into my hips, and the mostly goes down the back side of my right leg. This product is extremely durable, and I like that it is adjustable. I just lay on it flat on the floor for about 10 minutes and I'm good to go. I frequently do long car trips for work (4 hr. Commute once a week) and my back feels completely wrecked by the end of it. Once i get to my destination, I use this for 10-15 min and the pain is completely gone.Great product! Wish I would have discovered it years ago!

Love it
I have not played on it but use it on my office chair, truck seat, recliner, etc. This has been giving me relief from a hurt back. My PT person loaned me a simular one without the raised bumps all over, I was worried the spikey raised bumps would be uncomfortable and noticed upon arrival I could always just turn the white part to the smooth side but I have tried the spikey side and it is comfortable and not painful at all. All I can say is for the price of under $20 this is definitely worth it to me for the relief I am getting with current bulging disc's. I am glade my PT person showed me this.
