Toner Tap Samsung Clp-415n Clp-415nw, Clx-4195fw Cartridge Clt-504 Toner Refill Kit 4pk (Bcmy) with Chips

I was hesitant to try this because of bad experiences with inkjet refills in the past. However, since the Samsung CLP eats toner crazy fast, and the OEM cartridges are nearly $90 each -- I decided to give it a try. The package is just a priority mail envelope stuffed with the items in the picture. The instructions are a 1 page Xerox -- and provide fairly poor guidance to the uninitiated. However, I went to YouTube and searched "Samsung CLP-415 toner refill", and up popped a few video tutorials. The worst one was some guy with a British accent removing screws and springs from the end, and dumping toner in lengthwise. This looked highly problematic. The best one was an Asian gentleman who used a soldering iron to burn a hole in the plastic, dump the old toner, refill and tape the hole. I followed his step-by-step instructions, and the refill worked flawlessly! This toner produces excellent print quallty. Note that you should order the special soldering iron - hole maker for $6 from the same company. A ShopVac is also mighty handy to have as well. Do this job in the garage! Make sure you get the counter chips as well. Some companies are selling really cheap toner without the chips -- but you must have the chips or the refill won't be recognized by the printer.

Refill Toner and Reset Chips work fine with our Samsung CLX-4195FW all in one Color Laser Printer. Although I bought both the Toner Refill Tool and the Toner Waste Bottle with this purchase I didn't need to use either of them. I chose to dis-assemble the Toner Cartridges rather than burn a hole in the plastic casing. Once the end caps, gear assembly, full width roller, and metal wiper shield are removed I was able to vacuum out the old toner and refill the Cartridge Housing with the new toner. The furnished Reset Chips come with double back tape on them which the instructions tell you to just stick over the old chip. I didn't like the idea of elevating the chip so while I had the ends off I was able to remove the OEM Chips and replace them with the furnished Reset Chips. Note: you'll need to remove the double back tape from the reset chips to do this, as they won't fit with the tape on them. (Double back tape is the foam type - roughly 3/32" thick.) As for the Toner Waste Bottle the OEM Bottle was only about 5% full and did not need to be replaced.Note: If your not mechanically inclined I would not recommend you attempt doing this.

I just ordered my second kit. The print is nice, clear and good quality. I did go to Youtube and watched a couple different videos on re-doing the toner for the Samsung printer. The entire process is easy and pain free. You really do need to buy the optional iron for making the hole to fill the toner cartridge.

The toner refill works fine. It was easy to refill the cartridge, although a little messy. The problem is that they sent me the wrong chips, so the cartridge wouldn't work until I bought the right chips.

Tape furnished did not adequately seals hols but duct tape solved problem. I bought the hole cutter but it sure would be hard with out it. Even with the new chips it gives some strange indications and requires some resitting of properties that it did not before saved a bunch of money

Great way to save some money. It takes a few minutes to set up an area to perform the refill process, but I did all 4 at the same time. These worked great on my Samsung Factory Toner cartridge.

Waste of time, money, and mess. By the time your Samsung cartridges are empty, their gaskets are shot too. Refill with this and you get lots of smears and dots.

will definitely do it again instead of buying new cartridges at 7x the price.Make sure to buy the special $6 tool to make (melt) the holes in the cartridge....and follow the instructions carefully. (especially the vacuuming part...)
