This is a great water bottle! I love it. I use it every day. It keeps my water cold for hours and even overnight which is wonderful. I like to drink water first thing in the morning and I now have it ready right on my nightstand. My only complaint, and it’s a minor one, is that the straw can become detached periodically. The other thing is that I wish it was larger but that is nothing wrong with this product. I just need to order a larger one for longer outings.

Update 10/10/17. Changing my review back to 5 stars! After someone from the company noticed my last update about how the cap on my bottle was sucking air, they contacted me and promptly sent out replacement lids! So we are again happily using our favorite water bottles! Renewed faith in this fantastic small business! Thanks Hydracentials!Update 6/21/17. I had to downgrade this to a one star rating. While I think the bottle is fantastic (so much so that I was purchasing them as gifts and recommending them to everyone) the cap on mine has failed. I have only hand-washed and it hasn't been abused in any way. It sucks in air now and no liquid. I've tried replacing the straw to no avail. It seems to be something down in the flip out mouthpiece hinge. I've emailed Kristen the owner of Hydracentials and also the contact email on their website, and nobody had responded to me. They claim a 1 year guarantee, so I feel a faulty lid replacement should definately fall within the bounds of the guarantee, but good luck getting a response from the company. I noticed that Amazon's "other products customers who've purchased this buy...." shows the replacement lid. So I have to wonder if this is a common thread and everybody's out there now replacing their lids that suck air? So sad. I won't be recommending this company any more, which is pretty ironic because in my original review I mentioned that I choose this product because it appeared that their level of customer service was outstanding.Original Review: I was looking for a new water bottle to replace an older double-walled stainless bottle that I had worn all the paint off of. I looked at many different bottles here on Amazon but settled on this Hydracentials, mainly because it appeared to me that the customer service level was outstanding. I read some reviews where the company's owner responded directly to the comments, and that is a rarity in this day and age. I was a little concerned that I wouldn't like the straw-type bottle. My older one had a flip top that you just drank right out of, no straw. I was happy to find out that on the Hydracential, you can use the top with or without the straw. Was also surprised to see that my bottle also arrived with an additional 3 straws, which was great because you know how gunky those straws will eventually become.So on day one, at 10am I put in 4 regular sized ice cubes and filled the bottle with cold filtered water from my fridge. Somewhere around 2pm I refilled it with more water (still had ice in it from before). Around 6pm I was done drinking water from the bottle and I sat it on the counter. The next morning at 6am I grabbed the bottle to fill it up for work and there was STILL ICE IN IT. I kid you not. It blew my mind.I take this bottle to work with me every day. I leave it in the car for the first half of the day (I take my coffee in the AM) and then I bring the bottle in out of the car at lunch time so I have water for the afternoon. We had some pretty hot days here in PA this summer, where it was in the lower 90's (even hotter in my car with the windows shut) and this bottle has kept my water cold and ice intact through it all. I seriously doubt I'll ever buy another brand of bottle from here on out. My sister has a Yeti with a plastic lid & straw. We did an all-day shopping trip where we were filling our respective water bottles throughout the day, and the ice in my Hydracentials WAY outlasted her Yeti. And I'm sure she paid about 3x more for hers. Hah.I just got the new neoprene carrier for it with the strap, it's really handy when you're shopping or your hands are full. I highly recommend this water bottle. Buy one, you won't regret it.

After my husband lost his water bottle, I was on the search for a new one. However, whatever new water bottle I chose had to have very specific qualities: 1) It needed to have a secure lid and no leaking (my husband spills everything so almost requires a "sippy cup" per se), 2) The water bottle needed to keep things cool because we play a lot of outdoor sports during the summer, 3) Because of us playing sports, it needed to have a larger capacity than "normal" water bottle size so we wouldn't have to bring too many additional bottles with us, and 4) it needed to have a sports lid for quick breaks while on the field.After extensive researching and reviews on Amazon, I decided on this bottle. Not only was it my husband's favorite color but it had great reviews. That being said, here are my thoughts on the bottle:Pros: 1) Great size and the center of the bottle is slightly thinner than the rest, allowing for an easy grip.2) I cannot attest to the insulation of the bottle and/or koozie in very hot weather yet but it does keep drinks liquid under normal environments within the home. My husband adds tons of ice to his drinks and doesn't seem to do that with this bottle.3) You do get a card with your bottle giving you the option to claim a free koozie for the bottle that will allow for the temperature to keep cooler for longer. The koozie fits like a glove and does help to keep cool liquids more insulated.4) The bottle came with additional straws if they were to be needed. The straw piece works wonderfully too.5) It does not leak and/or perspire with or without the koozie so the double wall insulation does as the description says it does.6) It will fit in most cup holders in your car. I have a Honda Fit and the bottle will fit in the holder in the very front. However, the bottle is tall and so will not sit completely straight. It tilts at an angle in front of the dash and is a little cumbersome when trying to put my car in park because it's slightly in the way. I typically will have to move it to place the car in park and leave it sitting on the shifter. Keep in mind that a Honda Fit is a smaller car and I do not have the center console/arm rest between the seats. If I had a bigger vehicle and/or that, I'm sure there would not be any issues. That being said, even with the bottle at an angle, it doesn't tip over when driving so still a good size!Cons: 1) Bottle gets dinged easily if dropped, especially on a harder surface. My husband had this bottle for 2.5 days, dropped it, and it ended up with a dent near the top of the bottle. The koozie will help cushion some of that but he dropped it again last week and it chipped a piece on the lid, which I imagine would happen to any bottle, especially when made of plastic. It doesn't affect the bottle at all but it not sure if the problem could expand into something more with another drop.2) This con isn't necessarily that important because the item does keep the bottle more insulated. However, the koozie is not pleasing to look at. It is a light grey sleeve made of neoprene on the inside, which covers up the pretty blue of the bottle. Also, the website to input your information to receive your free koozie was a bit confusing. There was never a confirmation that my request to receive was submitted so I thought that the site didn't work. I didn't know it was received until later when I got an email advising it would be sent.Overall, I think it's a great product and I would buy again!

I ordered this bottle a while back and loved it. Unfortunately, I dropped it and slightly split the bottom "base," resulting in a sharp metal edge. I removed the base and still use the bottle. When I tried to order another one, they were unavailable. Recently I saw them again online and quickly ordered the 25oz stainless steel one to match my old one. Perfection! I can now alternate these two bottles.I tried several other bottles in between but none of them kept the drinks (and ice) as cold for as long a time. I also love the contoured shape which makes it easy to hold. The others were just bulky in my hand.The straw is my choice, love the extras and the brushes. This one came with a black "cozy" which just adds another insulating layer, always good.Although this one is a little more expensive, I can really recommend it to avoid all those plastic bottles, which is my main goal. The handle is also very sturdy and I carry it with me all the time. I am really happy with both of them!
