2 and 4 year grandchildren painted these eggs: The texture makes the paint easy to absorb. Would also work for markers. There were lines on the eggs to help stay in between the sections. An improvement would have been if it came with stickers as the pictures are a little misleading with the designs they look more like stickers.

The media could not be loaded.  In my opinion this isn’t the best egg painting kit, it’s just okay.In the product description it does say the eggs have a “flocking layer” on the eggs, which I guess is felt. The felt doesn’t bother me too much, but I don’t like how there’s a weird line on almost all of the eggs from the way they were packaged. (You can watch my video to see what I’m talking about)I do find it a little more difficult to paint the eggs because of the felt. But my child likes the felt because it makes the eggs soft he says (lol.)There’s a nice variety of paint colors, and the paint washes right off hands. The paint brushes are perfect for children's hands.I probably wouldn’t buy this set again, but it was a fun, creative, and different egg painting experience for my child and me so I’m happy we got to try it once.

Felt eggs are ridiculous! You can’t paint designs on them! Total junk!
