Great for tight spaces
These are ideal for use in tight spaces. I got them for work inside computer casings where space is limited. The hinge (between) the grips is an interesting design that works well. The downside is that they are not rust proof (see image). I left the pliers on some damp newspaper overnight the next morning the pliers had rusted and seized up. I was able to remove most of the rust but will now have to keep them oiled - something I did not expect. However, given the low cost I should have realised that these would be made of mild, not stainless, steel.BTW one of the review questions asks me to rate 'Sheerness' but can't mean the town in Kent, England. Can anyone help me on a definition?

Very poor quality
I purchased these as an add-on item as I need to round up for free P&P. I wasn't expecting much from a £2 pair of pliers but these are completely a waste of money! As you can see from the pictures not only are they rusty, but there is a gap between the arms at the closing end, what's more is that there are no grooves/teeth so no grip!I genuinely can't imagine what these could be used for‽ if you are planing to buy these because they are cheap save yourself some money and go to the pound shop, they will be half the price and twice the quality!

very poor ends dont close together
very poor quality so returning as the ends of the pliers dont close together fully so you cant grip thin items which is the main purpose of pliers. They might be cheap but no good so suggest any buyer avoids unless they want the inconvenience of returning . maybe it was just the pair I got but I doubt it as they would be made in quantities to the same specifications

Look elsewhere and pay a bit more.
Was not expecting much but saved a fiver in postage once my total purchase exceeded £20 by adding these pliers to my order. A bit basic and rough, some light rust evident; the shoulders of these are very sharp as I discovered by accidently cutting my palm the first time I used them, the tips are fairly hefty - not particularly suitable for fine work, and the spring arrangement is very poor. Overall quite bad even at the low price.

Sturdy and effective
An empty tuna can got firmly wedged into my glass jug (washing up mishap). Purchased these tweezers to tug on the sharp edges of the can and gently ease it out. Sorted without damage to my fingers or the glass jug. The long, fine point of these tweezers make them very useful. Glad to add them to my toolbox.
