You get what you pay for and the Pixel 6 Pro's screen doesn't play well with cheaper protectors
I would ordinarily buy the pretty basic screen protectors for my phones but the curved edges of the Pixel 6 Pro are a stumbling block for a lot of those. I initially brought the Mkeke protector, based on a few recommendations. The first cracked when lightly pressing it in place during installation and the second never really adhered properly at all. Although I made it last a few days whilst waiting for the delivery of this Whitestone one, It was unresponsive around the edges and despite having an irritating dot around the fingerprint scanner, where the material was thinner, that didn’t work either. When it came to removing the protector to fit this new one, the smallest amount of finger nail pressure on the edge resulted in the whole thing dropping off. It then became apparent how dull the screen looked through the Mkeke now I was seeing the bright and punchy colours without it. This obviously wasn’t helped by the fact that it never stuck properly but it was surprising given that it was a ‘glass’ protector. It’s generally the cheaper screen protectors that tend to look a bit opaque and cloudy. Luckily at the time of writing this the Mkeke is no longer available on Amazon. The Whitestone protector, thankfully, was the polar opposite. The installation kit and process may seem daunting but if you watch the video and follow each step carefully, you can’t go far wrong and the protector will be perfectly placed. I managed to get it installed first time with no problems so I have the second spare for future use. One of (the many) issues with the Mkeke was that it wrapped so far around the edges that cases wouldn’t sit well with it. That’s probably one of the reasons why the edges became dead as the case was essentially prying the protector off the screen. The Whitestone still covers all of the active screen but stops a little shorter than the Mkeke to make allowances for covers. My Caseology Vault case takes up the rest of that gap and sits perfectly with the Whitestone. There is no unsightly circle around the fingerprint scanner and it works the vast majority of times. I say “vast majority of times” because the temprementality of the scanner is more of an issue with the phone than the screen protector. Indoors it works pretty much every time. The only times it seems a little less accurate is in bright sunshine or if there’s even the slightest bit of moisture on your fingers. As I say, I think this is just the phone rather than the protector. The vibrancy of the screen is still there and it basically looks and acts as if you haven’t got a protector on there at all which is exactly what you want.I’ve been using the Whitestone for nearly 4 months now and I would definitely say it was worth paying the extra for. I was kind of forced to spend the extra, given the curved screen, but I think I’d be tempted to get another one again for future phones. With it being the point of contact with your phone it does seem counterintuitive to skimp on this area. Although I don’t bother with the latest and greatest phones, a cheap screen protector can turn even the most advanced and expensive phones into dull and unresponsive units.

Perfect protector
Updated Review - I originally gave this product 5 stars as it was impeccable upon installation. Now I am not so sure about the durability of these glasses as both of them cracked and chipped for me. I have never ever broken a phone screen in my whole life and now I have two cracked screen protectors within a couple of weeks. There was no accident (didn't drop the phone, just left it on the counter and a few minutes later, it just have cracks at the edges). However, a few hours after installing the first protector, it developed spider web shape things at the lower corner which grew to about 1cm length. I didn't remove it only because the glass was intact otherwise. The first glass developed a small chip on the right side, which was an area that's impossible to touch with your finger as the Spigen tough armour case's ridge protects that area. The second glasses just developed cracks beside the camera hole by itself. It perplexed me especially because there was no reason to crack (phone was fine before I leave it on the table, no one's home, and 10 minutes or so later, there are big cracks at the top).Very disappointed for £30 glasses that lasted only a few months.Original Review - Very happy with this protector. Easy to install if instructions were being followed properly. Finger print sensor works fine without the need for re-registeration. Only minor problem was the tape to prevent glue going into earpiece. It kept coming back up, so I pushed it with my finger to ensure it was stuck to the surface and it broke. So, I had to use the second piece and now I don't have any more protector if I need to apply another glass. Would be good to get one extra tape just like one extra glue.

Tricky to install but well worthwhile.
I've had tempered glass on several phones so I've done the installation process a number of times with different types/brands. This is, without doubt, the hardest, most intricate and time consuming one yet. However, the result is excellent.I'm so happy to be rid of the film protector I had been using which was squeaky and has gradually slid to one side. This new protector went on perfectly and is almost impossible to see (as it should be). Most importantly for the Pixel 6 series, the fingerprint reader works flawlessly and I didn't even need to reregister my fingerprints.Overall, highly recommended. It was expensive, it is still good value for what you get - the included UV curing light must be a big part of the cost.Hopefully, it will last a good long while and offer decent protection as well.

Quality product and finger print compatible
I've tried some of the cheaper full adhesive screen protectors available and all unfortunately suffered with issues on the finger printer scanner.I've used glassdome before back on the pixel 2 XL and I'll admit the quality was disappointing and seemed to crack easily.Having taken the chance on this for the pixel 6 pro I'm happy to say things have definitely improved and this protector works as I'd expect for the price.Finger print scanner didn't require setting back up after installion and I don't even have the increased sensitivity turned on in settings. It's not failed once to unlock or recognise my finger print.I'd highly recommend this for protected your phone, it's also proven compatible with a number of different cases without issue, having used the Spigen tough armour & slim fit, Google's official case and a random no brand slim carbon fiber case none have caused this to lift.Only poor point is the camera protector, honestly it's not worth bothering installing as it's just bad.
