Has it been tested for heavy metals?

Hi Amber, thanks for your question. The specific heavy metals of concern associated with Astaxanthin (and all Algae related products for that matter) are lead, cadmium, arsenic, and mercury. These 4 elements are specifically targeted during the heavy metal analysis. The assessment confirms that the algae used to produce our Astaxanthin is cultivated in an non-polluted environment and free of heavy metals, chemicals and over natural and/ or synthetic toxins. Is this totally non gmo? what are the capsules made from?

Thanks a lot for your question. Yes it's totally GMO and Gluten free. Please have a look at all the ingredients: Natural Astaxanthin (solvent-free extract from Haematoccocus pluvialis mircoalgae), Organic extra virgin olive oil, Non-GMO glycerin and gelatin (capsule). Extraction method: Non-solvent, high-pressure CO2 is used to extract Astaxanthin from the Algae. Hope that would help. In case you would have more questions now or 12 months from now, please kindly let us know, we are all here to help! With respect, Julia

Where is the micro algae grown and processed? What is the country of origin for the ingredients?

Thanks for your inquiry. The Astaxanthin only comes from BioSecure locations. The source is cultivated in Hawaii. In addition, every order goes through QC and we adhere to all USP and GMP standards. Hope that helps. With respect, Julia

Hi, is the gelatin fish based?

Hi Chelcie, it is not fish based. It's basically a non-animal gelatin derived from seaweed. Let us know if any other questions. With respect, Julia

The best sun protection

My skin has been very sensitive to late spring sun so I have been using astaxanthin to protect my skin. Other brands have helped but this one is the best. I worked outside for 2 hrs today in bright sunlight and my skin isn't sore & I have no sign of sunburn!! That hasn't happened before. I think I will order more.

One of the best supplements you can take

One of the best supplements you can take. It works as an internal sunscreen; is excellent for your eyes and is a wonderful antioxidant reducing inflammation even improving skin elasticity. This Seller offers a high amount (12 mg) for a very decent price. I am so glad I found this consumer friendly provider. They really care about your satisfaction and I totally recommend this product!

Really works!

My husband has very fair skin and usually gets a terrible sun burn easily, even with sunscreen. Since taking these, he hasn't had anything more than pink cheeks from the sun. We still use sunscreen, and the combo made our honeymoon to the Galapagos Islands a sunburn free trip!

No Positive Results

I tried the whole bottle but did not see or feel any improvements; no increase in energy nor improve soreness/mobility after exercise. I did not feel any side effects. May have worked for other people, but did not work for me so I will not buy again.
