Jennifer's Mosaics Tile Cutter - Red Glass - 12" x 4" - 3/8" Thick - Two-in-One Scorer/Breaker Tool

It is, obviously, not as effortlessly easy to use this as some youtube videos and ads would make it appear. I'm sure it takes a lot of practice (and outtakes) to get it that perfect. However, it does work, and for $13, for small tile and mosaic projects, it totally beats buying/borrowing/using a wet saw which is noisy, messy, dangerous, and expensive.I bought this for a small (10 square feet) tiling project where there are just a few corners i have to cut. I'm using cheap tile so i bought extra because i know i will break a few poorly, but this will work great for my purposes and if i had to hassle with a wet saw every time, i wouldnt even bother doing some projects.

I purchased this because a few tiles from my bathroom wall had come loose and shattered when they fell. I bought replacements, but one of them needed to be cut to fit and the hardware store couldn't do it (it was a small mom and pop type of store...not Home Depot or anything like that). I said to myself, if they can't do it, how am I supposed to do it? And then I found this little thing. I had zero confidence it would even scratch this thick tile, let alone score it and break it cleanly....but it proved me wrong. Twenty seconds out of the package and I now had a perfectly cut four inch tile that used to be a six inch tile and I did it all by myself. I love when things work!

I used these for a glass mosaic tiles that were 8mm in thickness which was thicker than these are rated for. They worked though! Wasn't a straight super clean cut but for around the outlets so the cover would cover them up it worked jest fine! I tried it on a thinner piece of glass tile that I had alying around and it was a clean break. So i wouldn't go a lot thicker but thinner this tool works great!

This worked great; the only issue I ran into was probably just with the tile itself, as sometimes it would snap and not be completely even along the scoring line. overall, this is a GREAT little tool and makes cutting small tiles a breeze.

These things are terrible. i had 3/8" glass mosaic tile (max size recommended) about 1/2" wide and made sure i scored it really good (i have cut sheet glass many times before building fish tanks) and when i went to press it to break it, they literally shattered the glass so bad that it turned the glass tile to a powder and sent glass shards flying across my house in all directions! i would be better off using a ceramic tile nipper! it was that bad!i have a rotary tool aka dremmel so i ended up picking up some rock cutting diamond wheel disks (1" disk) and they worked perfect! it scores the glass nicely and the glass eventually breaks off on its own. just a tip if anyone else has a rotary tool to get some diamond wheel disks instead of using this hunk of junk. Returning this today.
