A really good device to address compatibility issues
I got to use a PS4 controller to play on Switch... was worth it. I remember I had to look up how to pair a PS4 controller and had had to reset it to get it to pair, it wasn't difficult but it was a nuisance. I played around with a few other controllers too, and found them to be straightforward. It's a nice option to have, and I would probably really appreciate it if I used it for 1 controller to switch between my systems. For now I have enough controllers for this not be a necessity, but it gives me more versatility, should I need it.

Works as Described
Worked as described. Allows PlayStation 4 & 5 wireless controllers to be used with Nintendo Switch. Did have to plug it into a computer first and download an update to it.

Universal Connectivity, One at a Time
Been looking for a wireless adaptor that’d let me use my DualShock 4 (PS4) controller on PC, and this delivered! The receiver just plugs into your system and allows you to sync up your controller easily.The one thing that holds this back from a five star review is that the device can only hold ONE controller connection at once. I was hoping that this device would allow me to use all of my game controllers for PC, and it does, but since it holds one device to need to resync my controller each time I want to change which one I’m using (at least from what I’ve found by using it). This isn’t a massive issue, but I wish it would allow for multiple connections and be the “be-all, end-all” of connectors for PC. But aside from that, it functions as advertised and is great value for your money.

UPDATE WITH MAC/PC TO USE WITH SWITCH 2
Had trouble on Switch 2 before updating. Works great now. Just download the 8BitDo 2 Ultimate Software.

3 years later, still love it
I bought this in 2022 to connect my PS5 controller to my switch. Just recently, switch released an update that caused the adapter to require manually selecting the controller. Within a week, the 8BITDO team released a new firmware and got it fixed. I updated it on my laptop and now my controller connects automatically again. Love that the company stands by the product!

This is a good company. I believe this was just an error with this specific product for me.
The device came defective. I put it in the USB port, and when I took it out, the whole motherboard fell out and the button to put in impairing mode fell out. I don't like to return products because it's very difficult for me to do so, and I really wanted this to work for my dual since edge controller to play wirelessly, but it did not work at all
