Ok, very honest review, for the price it does work well. It will make a nice spot weld that holds and even on thicker metal that it claims. The jaws are 6” long in case you wondered. It’s not mentioned. Also, order a plug end for it as it doesn’t come with one. Just the wire with terminal rings on the wires. However, here is the part where it gets negative. The welder is so heavy that you can not place it in very many positions, hold on to it in that position, clamp it and flip the switch all at the same time. I don’t recall the weight of it, but with the flimsy small handle, that just seems to be positioned in the wrong spot, and the handle to close the tips so close, the weight and switch all within 10 inches of each other, you can not weld from under the car and hold it up. So while installing my new inner and outer rocker panels, the top welds were still difficult, but the ones on the bottom were just impossible. I don’t like to think I’m that weak, I’m a decent sized guy that has never been shy about lifting something. This thing is just too heavy for what I’m doing. Laying flat on the ground or a bench is perfect if that is where you will be using it.
