Not a professional publication
This is not a professional publication, it is a manual written by some Indian hobbyist that is full of grammar mistakes, typos and weirdly-phrased sentences that are hard to understand.

Good as a quick guide once you know python, bad as a learning book
The book is a reference. Just short phrases, many examples, but very hard to understand in some parts because it doesn't explain concepts clearly for non python programmers. There are also some errors in the code, specially in the short sentences, not in the examples. You still have to read another book, or look internet all the time. I recommend the other book "Learn Python in one day and learn it well" . Then maybe this one as a quick reference but if I had known I had never purchased this one. There are also good sites in internet that give free introductory python courses. So we can consider this as a quick guide, but again as that it's very bad. Language is bad, examples are bad, and specially the way that info is displayed is confusing. Don't waste your money.

A Concise Introduction to Python
I have really found the book 'Let us C' quite useful for my foray into programming. That's why when this book was released, I got it immediately, and the book doesn't disappoint. The book is concise, best suited for Python converts who don't wish to be drowned by information that they're already familiar with. If you wish to get in-depth knowledge on a particular area of python programming, I suggest you look elsewhere. To quickly get a strong grasp of the fundamentals, and start programming in python, this is a solid book. The paper quality is good, and is easily, portable, give the conciseness.

Emperor Kanetkar strikes back, fast phased programmer introduction to python
An excellent book, quite fast phased - no nonsense introduction to python, for a programmer and by a programmer. If you are newbie to programming u might not like it, but if u are c/c++/Java guy, this is the book.I read this book while travelling in a day train, just finished the entire book in one sitting,The structure is more like a FAQ, or a problem-sol model.Excellent introduction to python, for the cost it is a steal, Learning python, python in nutshell and python cook books cost around 2K in chennai.I suppose this can replace learning python, and launch u into Nutshell, Cookbook, The Python 3 Standard Library books.it is bit rough edged in few areas, but all program snippet runs correctly, I am eagerly awaiting a 2nd edition, with a polishing done. But for 200 rs this book is a steal, just grab it u will not regret.

Useful book for all levels of learners.
Good book for those who are staring python learning and also for those who are using other languages and switching to python. Content is precise and it will help the reader as a quick reference guide.
