I bought this camera as a security camera at a remote construction site. I set it up high up on a pole along with the solar charger. I had another solar panel to power a small LTE router/AP. The set up worked so well I got a second camera set up similarly connected to the same LTE router/AP. As a bonus (for me at least) these cameras have no issue working with a hidden SSID. The only thing that would make these cameras better for me would be ONVIF compliant. But the CloudEdge app is easy to use and very intuitive. And sharing access to the cameras with other users is a simple process.Just an update: I ordered two cameras. While both are DD201 Cameras, they are different variants. They even have different firmware and with the latest firmware update, the cameras have different features. My B6 variant provides choppy video, my B8 variant is very smooth and has a siren feature with the new firmware. I recommend ensuring you are getting a B8 or higher.

I've had this product for 2 months now and I can't complain. It has good video quality, day or night. The only issue was the charge, which gave out after 2 days but that was because I didn't fully charge the camera. After fully charging it, the solar panel charges it enough so that it doesn't lose power. I tried to buy another one but it was sold out. Using the Cloudedge app allows you to monitor the camera on your phone or any computer that has an internet connection. The only thing I haven't been able to figure out is how to record using the SD card (128 GB - not included). Good quality for the price you pay.

Everything is great, great quality camera picture. Night vision is great. But my device keeps dying. I have the solar panel hooked up and it has great sun exposure. But the dang thing just won't stay charged I have to take it down and charge it every few days it is quiet annoying. I got this one because it is supposed to charge itself. But it does not seem to work that way. I have to go through the hassel of getting a ladder and climbing up to take it down just to get it to take a charge

I got the camera in May 2022. Doesn't always sense motion. I bought the camera to track driveway activity, the price was right to try it. If you need a close up, like to see a license plate or to see a person's face, it is not very good.An ieGeek rep reached out to me in Jan 2023 to resolve my issues but ended up sending me a new camera. I was quite impressed with this. The camera works, not the greatest but for the money it is okay.I replaced the old camera with the new one outside, it is working ok. The original one is in my basement so I can check for any possible water heater leaks or whatvever.

I purchased this camera to keep an eye on the driveway of a rental cottage up north. It has been out in the snow and cold temps and has functioned well. It has been great to have the solar panel to keep it charged year-round, no climbing a latter to recharge the battery. Picture quality is good and the night vision works pretty well. The camera is easy to install (just screw it in and plug in the solar panel) and it didn't take long to pair it with the wifi. Overall I am quite satisfied with the camera, especially for the price.

The camera is decent for the price. Bought 3 cameras. My only problem is one of the solar panels does not work so I have one camera that cannot be charged via solar.

The solar security camera outdoor is easy to install and works well for the price range. The solar panel works great providing electricity for the camera. We contacted ieGeek regarding a technical issue, and ieGeek responded quickly and sent us a brand-new camera in two days. Thank you ieGeek for your excellent customer service and for providing great products. We bought another security camera for the second location and are happy with both of them.

Loved the price, the picture and the ease of set up

I have 4 other ieGeek cameras in operation around the property so when looking for an autonomous camera for the garden I knew that this would have the same clear HD definition of my other cameras together with easy setup and a user friendly app - and I wasn’t disappointed!The camera comes well packed with protective film over the lens, and has a solid feel to it. I charged it up overnight, there is a charge indicator which goes from red to blue when fully charged. Incidentally I also tried charging this with a powerbank in anticipation of recharging it remotely which works well, as typically these are installed where there is no power source available. The charge point is inside a rubber seal on the bottom of the camera and is recharged with a supplied micro usb lead.I popped in a high endurance micro SD card and turned it on, having already downloaded the app on my android phone. Pairing steps are very clear and straightforward, and the camera was operational a couple of minutes later. The mount is sturdy and mine is actually mounted on the side of a tree in the back garden looking back at the rear of the property. It is about 25-30 metres from the wifi source but still maintains a 68-70% signal strength with clear HD. I also downloaded the iOS app for my iPad and the camera was immediately recognised as soon as I logged in to the app. I would prefer one app for all ieGeek cameras but recognise that with differences in software between older and newer cameras this is not always possible, so I simply placed this app next to my existing app on both my devices so I can easily click on either or both.Navigating the app is very straightforward, with clear functions within the settings menu, and day to day use tap icons for live view, history of recordings, record button for manual record, and screenshot. In fact if you are downloading recordings from the SD card you simply access the recordings on the camera summary screen of the app (which would list all the cameras installed if you had more than one) by clicking on the recordings icon and you then get a pictorial view of all the recordings together with date and time. You can then select to send by WhatsApp, email etc. depending on what platforms you are using on your device.Camera has been running for a few days now and a feature I really like is the humanoid detection that all ieGeek cameras now have. There are a few bushes in the picture frame which blow in the wind and would ordinarily trigger the motion detect and record function and drain the battery. However this camera simply ignores them unless it detects human form which greatly reduces erroneous recordings and preserves the battery life.There is also a microphone and speaker installed on the camera. I was lying in bed the other morning listening to crystal clear bird song over the app - I haven’t tried the speaker function yet - that would have freaked the birds! - but imagine it would be just as clear if this is a function you would use.I’m very happy with the ease of operation of the camera and the clarity of the image, and particularly like the autonomy of the unit - you can simply put it wherever you like within wifi range!

Camera is really easy to set up, clear instruction guide and everything in there to mount the camera up. Picture quality is really clear and I have only needed to charge the battery overnight once in a month and I use the camera frequently as the motion detection is always on. I opted for the cloud storage which is a few quid a month just to see what it was like, again really easy to use and lots of storage. I may go for an sd card at some point. Motion detection level can be set for sensitivity and you can set the app to take a video or screenshot. Lots of features on the app really easy to use and you can add multiple devices. It has audio also so you can speak through the camera! Very handy. Will be purchasing another camera for the front of the house aswell as I am so happy with this one. Super easy to just unscrew from the mount if you need to move the angle or charge.

Easy to install. Great picture, day and night.Especially like that you can talk through the camera and that it has a spotlight and siren.

I chose this camera after studying several options. It had to mount under the roof structure of a new extension, to monitor visitors outside a new composite door with opaque glass. Perfect! Easy to install and easy to position when in situ. This covers not just the immediate approach to the door but also is wide angle enough to include a car on the drive and a side gate 15 feet apart.Communication from iegeek is excellent via email, the build quality of the cam is very good and incorporates audio, recording, lighting, alarm, etc. The perfect security solution, all maintained via wi-fi and a rechargeable battery. Very satisfied indeed.

Well made and looks good. The body of the camera is solid and it mounts easily on the supplied wall mount. Can be easily removed in seconds when it needs charging.The slot for the micro sd card is well situated and easily accessible. This is a welcome improvement on previous cameras where the camera body had to be removed to access the card.Human motion detection is extremely good and it picks up movement at a good distance. The captured images and videos are crystal clear and easily recorded onto the card. Night pictures are equally good.As I have found previously the cloudedge app is not fast enough to give warning of approaching visitors. Delivery drivers have left before you get the notification.Sound recording is good but I cannot see when it would be used as this is a security device as opposed to a doorbell.This is a good product and sensibly priced. Option of a white camera would be nice.
