Has anyone had a problem where, once it’s been set to “warm” for a bit, you can’t set it back to “low” or “high”? It just doesn’t get hot again?

Thank you for your question, Lou. The issue you are describing may be warranty-related. We would appreciate the opportunity to work with you regarding the issue you have experienced with the slow cooker. We ask that you please contact our Consumer Service Center at 1-800-231-9786. Can you put the pot directly on a hob to brown off meat before slow cooking?

Hi Shane, Thank you for your interest in this Black+Decker slow cooker. The stoneware liner is not designed to be placed in the refrigerator or on the stove. If you need further assistance, I’d be happy to help! Please contact us at youropinionmatters@spectrumbrands.com and reference 42220072 so that we may better assist you.

I am usually cooking for 4, but sometimes want a bigger crockpot to carry to parties, etc. Does it work to cook smaller amounts of food in a big unit?

Thank you for your question, J W. It is not necessary to fill the stoneware liner to capacity with each usage. The liner should be filled at least 1/2 to no more than 3/4 full to avoid over and under cooking. When only half full, you should check for doneness 1-2 hours before the end of the recommended cooking time.
