Exactly what I hoped for!
I ordered this on a Monday night and it shipped directly from NY Brew Supply early the next morning and made it to Florida on Friday. Thank you for such quick service! Living in Florida, it's a challenge to cool your hot wort quickly. I purchased this as a pre-chiller to my Shirron plate chiller which works well, but the groundwater temps in Florida are warm year round. I did a test today and here are the results. The water temp straight out of my garden hose was 79 degrees after running for 10 minutes filling our pool. I submerged the Immersion Chiller in a 5 gallon vertical Rubbermaid cooler filled with icy water and tested again. The water temp had dropped to 67 degrees. I haven't cooled an actual batch yet, but have no doubt this is going to chill a hot wort in minutes. As a side note, the product is made well and very clean. Recommend!

Makes my old chiller look frail
Extremely fast shipping, and a very heavy-duty chiller. I brew mostly 5 gal batches in a big 15 gal Blichmann, so I will have to re-coil to make it lower and wider. My old 25' 3/8 chiller was starting to show its age and I was afraid of it cracking at the bends. This bad boy is built like a tank and should last me forever even if I abuse it a bit.I want to eventually go to a pump/plate chiller, but this is a more economical approach for now. Someday I will use it in a pot of ice water as a pre-chiller for getting lager wort down to the 50s, but for now I'm enjoying the fact that my brew day has been cut by a good 15 minutes. Recommended.

1/2" wort chiller is 1/2" O.D. tubing
1/2" wort chiller is 1/2" O.D. tubing and NOT 1/2" I.D. This is intentionally obscure b/c 1/2" I.D. is larger more expensive copper tubing. Seller description should be updated to read 1/2" O.D somewhere. 1/2" O.D. is good for a wort chiller but I was hoping for larger tubing when using in compressed air aftercooler application. Otherwise quality looks good.

Better and cheaper than homemade
I made one of these several years ago from surplus tubing I had. It was great until one winter when I left it in the shed and it froze and split to pieces. I had all of the fittings to make a new wort chiller but found I could buy this one cheaper than buying the tubing for a homemade chiller. The construction of this one is great, better than what I could do on my own. I just could not pass this up and I am extremely glad I did not.

Best chiller
How much of a difference does 3/8" to 1/2" make??? A LOT! Space the coils out with copper wire and 5 gallons of wort will go from boil to pitch temperature in about ten minutes... I had absolutely not issue with the packaging, the product was delivered on time and in great condition.I washed the product in warm water using a soft brush to get any factory oils or contaminates off.

Highly Recommend
Just used to cool 10 gallons of wort brewed in 15 gallon converted keg. Cooled from Boiling to 80 F in just 15 minutes! Initially ran hose water at high volume for about 10 minutes, then as output cooled decreased to a more moderate flow to allow a bit more time for heat exchange and to save on H2O. I collected cooling water to assess total volume used compared to my prior method of placing brew pot in cold water bath. Used 50% less water and cooled twice as fast! I'm SOLD!!!

Heavy Duty 1/2" X 50' Copper Immersion Wort Chiller
Great Wort Chiller, very well built heavy duty brew gear. Hose connections are strong and well secured. Will be using with 1/4 hp submersible pump with a 55 gal plastic drum full of ice water. Should bring to pitching temp in under 5 mins. Looking forward to seeing a quick cold break on the next batch. We have very warm tap water here in Southwest Texas and this was my best solution as I have access to a ice machine. NY Brew Supply was very quick in shipping and Chiller was well packed and secure. Will order through them via Amazon again, Great Buy.

Terrible craftsmanship
Don't waste your money on this chiller. This is my second one and both leak at the fittings. If you don't tie a towel around it, water will spray in your wort. Total junk.
