Lovely on jacket potatoes
Oh my god i recently bought 2 tins of FREY BENTOS stewed steak from b&ms and they was disgusting had 6-8 huge chunks of hard fat i complained to Baxter's and they sent me £3 worth of vouchers.. HOWEVER i took a chance on these Morrisons ones and they are lovely absolutely ZERO fat in them and a good few big pieces of steak which is good quality and melts in your mouth the gravy is slightly bland just whack a load of salt and even load's more pepper and it certainly helps the flavour i will be buying more of these goes well with salad potatoes and garden peas there great to have in cupboard as they goes well with a lot of things lovely on crispy jacket tatties too who would of thought Morrisons own brand are 1 million x better than Frey bentos which the latter was inedible. EDITED THE LAST 3 TIMES I'VE PURCHASED THESE THEY HAVE BEEN IN A BLUE TIN NOT AS SHOWN IT'S SO STRANGE EVEN THOUGH INGREDIENTS ARE SAME IT'S DEFINITELY DIFFERENT DARKER COLOUR GRAVY AND FAT ON MOST PIECES SURROUNDING THE MEAT IF THEY DON'T GO BACK TO THE WHITE TINS I'LL BE DEVASTATED AS I LOVE THEM BUT NOT ORDERING ANY MORE UNTIL THEY GET RID OF BLUE TIN ONE'S AND THEY NEED TO REMOVE PICTURES OF THEM STILL PICTURE OF WHITE TINS WHICH THEY DON'T SEND ANYMORE

Tinned food is always convenient so that's a plus, this stewed steak has a watery gravy and some hefty chunks of fat, I expect some fat but not this amount, Tesco sell a similar product and fifty pence cheaper and far superior so I will go back to their tins.

It's like the old days.
Tins of stewed steak have greatly deteriorated in recent years - less and less meat, more and more padding, big globs of fat combined with a rocketing price tag. This offering from Morrisons reverses the trend. Big, lovely chunks of meat in a rich gravy and - to my astonishment - no fat.Each can contains 60gms of protein,more than the daily RDI,and is a good indicator of meat content. If you are a lover of stewed steak stock up on this one before it too disappears.
