Really helped the sound quality on my mic

Good product

Recently I had purchased a Blue Yeti Microphone for my gaming setup and wanted to purchase a foam condenser for it! It arrived in a small plastic bag and I was instructed to let it air out for a bit, then to put over the microphone. Time goes by, and after a few weeks of use, I noticed things that I have compiled below (TLDR at the end)!PRO's- Sound quality is somewhat nicer...this product almost acts like a pop filter so it can help prevent the extra noises that we all make while in normal conversation that may not be noticeable to each other, but are noticeable in recording.- Catches extra moisture, resulting in me worrying about the quality and durability of the microphone less. (No, I don't slobber all over the microphone, haha, but I would say we all accidentally have those times (and even in normal conversation really) where we spit out a bit too much saliva on accident and resulting in a bit of a messy keyboard/microphone, so it's nice to know it will just be absorbed by the foam which I can clean out instead of the microphone itself (which may cause slight damage over time)- The color of the foam actually matches pretty well to the microphone itself...(that is if you have a blackout edition)...but regardless the color of the foam looks like a solid black.MIDDLE GROUND (Not awful but not great)- Packaging is honestly kind of cheap...I understand that it fits in a sealed small Ziploc bag and expands after you take it out, but also am unsure if this is the best way to package this (i.e. small cardboard box instead. Maybe not though, regardless of something I took note of.- Price. This thing is a good $7 which isn't in itself awful but it is a piece of foam. I found some cheaper ones on eBay for $2.50 but YMMV. This may be your best bet, to be honest, I didn't do that many comparisons as it wasn't a huge dealbreaker for me.- I am worried about the durability of the material to be honest, as I've seen in past reviews that (this product) used to be of better quality than it is now, leading to some customers deciding to purchase this product from different companies in the future. So far it's holding up OK though.CON's- Surprisingly I couldn't really find any specific CON's for this product, but then again I've only had it for a couple of weeks and use my microphone sparingly. Expect updates to this review (and potentially this category) as time goes on.TLDR: Overall this foam microphone cover works just fine, Nothing bad sticks out but may over time...or may not, we will have to see. Can recommend it for those casual users but serious users may want to do more comparisons. Thanks for reading!

Looks and Fits Nicely on my Blue Yeti. Works great as a windscreen and filter

As a streamer, this thing is invaluable. I have never been a fan of seeing all these people talk into their mics with these awkward pop filters clamped onto their mic stands. Sure, if you're a vocalist who SINGS into the mic, I can see the need for something like that....but for the rest of us, you don't need that goofy looking thing. Sure, I guess to some people it makes your mic setup look "studio quality" but let's face it, it's not needed. This cheap little foam cover does everything that pop filter can do and just slides over the mesh on your YETI mic. 10 seconds to install and you're done FOREVER. No adjusting it or moving it around like pop filters, just set it and forget it.This is coming from someone who bought a fancy pop filter for their last mic and got tired of dealing with it. When I got my YETI a few months ago, I wanted to test this thing out and it worked like a charm. Never again will I mess with a pop filter when you can just put a foam windscreen on.Another thing that people fail to realize with pop filters, is they only protect your mic from wind in ONE DIRECTION. Depending on where you record/stream at, weather and stuff, where your AC vents are, and even ceiling fans...those can mess up a mic with pop filters. Ceiling fans blow air down or pull it up, pop filter can't block that. AC vents blowing down damn sure pick up extra wind sound. How do you avoid that? Get this windscreen! It blocks wind and air from EVERY direction and I've tested it with box fans in the room to see if it could.

I use my blue yeti mic for recording vocals so this definitely helped. It reduced more than half of the “puh” and air sounds coming through. Sometimes some can slip through if you do it hard enough but overall good purchase. Really reduced annoying air and pop sounds for the price.
