A notice for seimitsu modders and a brief overview of the sanwa and seimitsu sticks
Short version: For the sake of simplicity make SURE that you buy the 5 pin model of the seimitsu arcade stick along with a seperate 5 pin cable - or else you'd better hope that you have the stock mayflash stick and a soldering iron lying around somewhere.Long version: despite saying this nowhere on their site and there being no proper tutorials on how to do it, The F500 IS compatible with the seimitsu ls-32 stick although there is something you should keep in mind while purchasing. There are two versions of the ls-32 on amazon:1. The 5 pin version (the one that you should look for)2. This one version where there are 4 sets of 8 prongs, each set belonging to one microswitch on the stick. (yeah idk what its called but look on this site for it, you'll know what I'm talking about)Being the poor soul that I am, I unintentionally bought the latter, but luckily I was able to make a workaround. And I want to say first and foremost that I am NOT responsible for any damage you might cause to your stick if you decide to do what I did. If you arent 100% confident in your skills then go ahead and try to get a refund for a 5 pin stick. With that out of the way, you see, there are two types of up, down, left, and right sockets on the motherboard inside the arcade stick chassisThere is one singular five pin port (the one you'd connect to if you bought a 5 pin stick)And there are four smaller ports, each representing up, down left, and right.(The one that my seimitsu is connected to)(took a picture of this)So the stock mayflash stick connects via the latter way, using cables representing each microswitch and since the microswitches on them looked pretty similar to the seimitsus I decided to desolder those cables off of those microswitches and I soldered them onto their new seimitsu microswitches, marking the cable with a sharpie belonging to the outer microswitch prong to make sure I dont get anything wrong, (ayy that rhymed) and to my absolute surprise it worked. When I screwed the seimitsu in I could only install two screws of the standard four but the stick is pretty sturdy with only two screws, nothing to really worry about unless you're the type to literally throw your stick against the wall in anger, but thats somewhat unlikely so I'll assume not.I like the seimitsu stick. Its well built and is pretty responsive with a smaller deadzone and accurate (in comparison to the sanwa I had in it earlier). Could be bothersome though if you dislike how firm it is or how short it is, although you can combat this with a lighter spring or a shaft extention. (har har har)Personally I prefer it over the sanwa, although its all preference. I encourage you to try both.Keep in mind though, that not ALL fighters are better with the sanwa. Older fighters such as KOF, Street fighter 2, alpha and 3 and virtua fighter are made with seimitsus in mind, not sanwas. In street fighter 2-alpha-EX-3 using a seimitstu felt more natural to me than using a sanwa due to its tighter controls. I was able to do super jumps, dashes, combos, parries, and super moves with ease in comparison to the sanwa. Not to mention seimitsus are more well rounded overall than sanwas in other genres. If you play modern fighters, go with the sanwa. Everything else goes to seimitsu IMO. dunno about these hayabusa sticks all of these whipper snappers keep yipping about but its apparently a "better" version of the sanwa. maybe I'll add it to my review if I can get my claws on one.Oh, and the F500 itself is darn good too being my first stick, but I'll let the other fellas tell you about thatI'll upload pictures tomorrow if Amazon allows me to upload pictures after I've posted the review. (my first review so yeah I dunno)Edit: 10/5/18-Added pictures-fixed grammatical mistakes-damage disclaimer addedEdit:10/6/18-more stuff added

Great entry level arcade stick
I consider myself a fighting game enthusiast but have always played on controllers or special fighting game controllers like the mad catz street fighter 4 fight pad. I think this is a great stick for anyone who wants to try out fighting sticks. It has a nice solid, heavy build with rubber pads on the bottom so it doesn't slide around in my lap. It also comes with rubber feet you can install if you want it to have a little extra height and friction if you play on a table.I have no basis of comparison for the stock parts used for the lever and buttons but to me they feel great, albeit the buttons feel a little spongey. During gameplay I don't notice. It comes with a square gate preinstalled but includes an octagonal gate if you want to swap it out. There are lots of videos on youtube showing the process of opening up the stick which look very easy but I haven't done it myself. I feel confident that I could swap out everything with sanwa parts if I wanted. Mayflash also provides art templates for adobe illustrator/photoshop if you want to make custom art.It is a great universal stick, although if you want to play it on PS4 you will need to actually plug a PS4 controller into the arcade stick, then the arcade stick into the PS4. I tested it and it works. I think the same must be done for Xbox One. I have not tested on PS5 or Xbox Series X. I play primarily on PC which it works great, but I can't get it to work on Mac and I don't think playing on a Mac is possible. The biggest downside I could say about the stick is the acrylic faceplate covering the entire top of the stick. This is used to hold down the customizable art insert. As a new player I was definitely moving my hands/wrists a lot more because I didn't have proper technique to control the stick. As a result I was rubbing my wrists a lot on the acrylic which caused rashes/chaffing. Now I use gloves with gel padding in the wrist meant for protecting against carpal tunnel while typing. Any fingerless glove would work too. With gloves my experience is much better to lower the friction on my wrist, but also my technique got better so I'm not rubbing my wrists as much.Still, for the price I paid of $75, it is a great introductory stick. I definitely could upgrade with sanwa parts later on, but for the price of the sanwa parts I might want to just buy a more premium stick. Or if you don't mind spending about $40 more, just buy the Mayflash F500 Elite which is identical but comes with sanwa parts already installed.Pro:- Low price- Solid and Heavy to prevent sliding- Universal compatibility- Customizable art- Compatible with Sanwa parts- Lots of tutorial videos online to open the stickCons:- Certain consoles will require you to plug a real controller into the stick (PS4/Xbox One)- Stock lever and buttons could feel cheap to experienced fight stick users, but should be fine for new players- No buttons for L3/R3/Left Stick/Right Stick (not a real problem for fighting games, just training mode)- Acrylic top face plate can cause chaffing

Works like a charm on PS5 with Tekken 8!
This is my very first arcade stick. I enjoy it very much. The stick can be rotate in all direction and the ball twist (no fuction). The buttons feels light. It really works as instructed in a small paper included. You plug in Mayflash Magic-S Ultimate on top, open left panel and hook usb to the PS5. And just like any PS controller you need to press PS button on the top, then see an prompt to select USER. Press X and your arcade stick is now in use. No update driver for me. Everything works right out of the box. One thing I find it funny is because the panel is marked for both PS and Xbox. I was pressing the wrong "X" at the beginning. lolNow the look, it's great. Red and black is okay. I found it surprising there is a layer of hard transparent plastic below the buttons. It gives a premium look. The picture provided by the sell doesn't do it justice. See my pictures. When I opened the box, it is very well packaged. Virtually no damage. Everything from stick, to buttons, to the arcade top has thin protective film for you to remove. And now I only have two minor complain, 1 the stick is sticking out right behind the box. It is totally my fault for choosing Magic Ultimate instead of the small one because I personally have other use for it. 2. It is heavy! I was expecting the weight of empty wooden box but no. It weights about 5 lbs! A ps4 slim weight 4.6 lbs. This thing is as heavy as a console! Some might not feel good after long period of play putting it on lap. But I know others will like it. The box also include 4 rubber feet to raise up the arcade just a bit. I haven't install it.Overall this is a complete package (you need to buy the stick for PS5 separately). I like it very much. Both for quality and convenience. I highly recommend it.
