All models get mixed here. This is for the DeskBrite300 LM-30.First, what this is not for--the light is pure white. That is perfect for seeing the details of something you're working on--it is not for general ambient light, it is very harsh.For seeing details of anything beyond your overhead light, it is excellent. And that's just using it as a lamp.When you need to see something small you're working on with tiny screws, etc., or if you're old like me and can't read small labels, the magnifying glass combined with the white light is incredible--infinitely better than trying to use a separate magnifying glass and light. I hadn't even thought of this use, but my wife and I can finally read those small labels on everything, including the dosages on over the counter medicines.It runs off USB-C--it comes with a plug in, but if like me you already have a USB charging block on your desk, you can use that instead. Best, when not plugged in it can run off 3 AA batteries (not rechargeable), so I can take it to the dining room table when working on a laptop, or need to see something under my desk without dragging a cable around.I was really just looking for a desk lamp when I saw this, not something with a built in magnifying glass and that could run on batteries. This is so much better for my use cases.If you want a desk lamp to see details, and the option for magnification to read small labels or work on small things, this surpassed all my expectations. If you just want a desk lamp to leave on all the time--again, the same light that works so well for details is too harsh to just leave on.

This would be an excellent craft magnifier. I don't need to use the light on it but might be nice if you needed the extra detail light. I have it mounted to the far right of my elbow at my computer desk. It functions like I hoped it would. When I need to read some real fine print that is too fine for my glasses I can pull this thing down and over the item and read can it and type on my computer at the same time. It works like you would expect and I am totally satisfied with this product. It also easily mounts on the edge of my desk edge and stays secure no matter how I pull it around. Really nice!

I had a previous model from the same manufacturer which worked great for several years, but the light grew dim. This new model is cheaper, the light has two brightness settings, with the lower setting meeting all my needs. I use this light and the maginifying glass almost every day, and I love it.

I just used this for a project that I have not been able to do, since holding a flashlight and a magnifying glass left me with no free hands to actually work on my project.The light is very bright, and that little 3.5x magnifier comes in very handy.I gave it four stars for the plastic post on the clamp - It seems like it would break very easily. For probably the same price they could have used a metal post.

Losing my vision so I needed a magnifying lamp for coloring with my gel pens. This lamp is light and portable as I use with batteries. It really gives me great access to stay within the lines and see all up close. Totally recommend. You won’t want the clip on type after this item.

I have to keep replacing the batteries on this product. The brightness dims quickly. Very disappointed.

This is a perfect light, magnifier!Neck bends very nicely and is sturdy.Used for crafts…..painting nails!! Love it.

This excellent light is used for making Rosaries and for reading tiny labels.

Die Größe reicht nicht für einen Erwachsenen, sondern höchstens für ein dreijähriges Kind, wenn es um den Hals getragen wird. Wenn man es nicht um den Hals tragen kann, ist es nutzlos. Es wird mit einem Adapter geliefert, aber es gibt nirgendwo im ganzen Gerät einen Eingang für diesen. Das heißt, es ist nicht wiederaufladbar und läuft nur mit Batterien.Lupe ist klein, zu klein zum Basteln weder Lesen, aber klar und ohne Kratzer. Beleuchtung ist okay.Daher auch der eine Stern.

Great for fly tying but comes with two pin plug,so use batteries.dont bother asking customer service as they aren't bothered.having said that if you've got decent light in the room it'll b ok.
