A few , only a few, practical examples worked up to show how to !
It has practical problems, so you understand how to apply the statistical formulas. My other biostatistics books do not show me how to apply the theory. However, the book takes a few theories of statistics and applies the math. It does in no way cover the whole science of statistics. It is a very thin book.

Badly formatted
The formatting means some of the example numbers are unreadable. This means that the examples can't be solved or followed. Poor quality- don't buy.

Great Introduction
Excellent examples well explained. The structure of the book is thoughtful and easy to follow. It is a nice intro or efficient refresher.

OK... as far as it goes
Descriptive stats, limited coverage of regression, and chi-squred are presented but not much else. There is nothing about the logic or rationale for either regression or chi-square... a bit baffling after the much more comprehensive material on descriptive. Chi-square but no t-test or ANOVA? Yep, a bit baffling.
