Amazing low noise and great unit for the price

Won’t last
Never really worked. Bought same unit from Woot and it lasted a year. Warning… the manufacturer wouldn’t honor the warranty because Woot is not an authorized dealer. Beware of anything bought from Woot.

Freezes up and has an odor
The coils freeze over and it has a fishy odor. Have only had it installed for a few weeks. Other than that it cools great

I have worked on heating and A/C all my life, service and installing every kind, this hOmelabs unit I had not heard of before I took a chance and it was a standard mini split inverter unit, I installed it myself worked like it should A/C and heating Very good for the price.

Very quiet
It’s very quiet. Feels high quality. The only problem I had was my exterior unit came bent on one side. But since I was in desperate need of ac for my business, I settled. But other than that it works great

Homelabs does not honor their own warranty.
Broken fan blade when i turned the unit off / on fir the first time. Bought it on Woot, owned by amazon. called homelabs no answer via phone. chat support told me since i didnt buy it form one of their authorized resellers amazon - wait isnt woot owned by amazon? - they wont honor any warranty. Ive had the unit installed 18 hours now. It is brand new and the fan inside lost some blades on it, so it vibrates, Since i bought 2 units neither now have a warranty. Mind you i have the credit card transaction, the serial number, the serial number and model numbers cut from boxes, everything needed for warranty. Nor will they give me the fan part number so i can just buy a new fan blade (gerbil/hamster wheel fan blade) because they dont sell that part. Someone made it and it should have a part number...So would i buy anything from Homelabs again a big resounding noSince you cannot tell on the website, nor is there any documentation stating otherwise on their printed material and easily found on their website, they still claim that there is no warranty - book says 2 year warranty... They claim that they trust amazon to ship, but dont trust woot owned by amazon to ship - go figure.As such no warranty.
