Excellent
Really good stuff quite thin out of the tin but covers well and is nice and easy to apply. Can also be used on exteriors which is a big bonus. No complaints will keep buying this stuff for work

Don’t trust the handle!
Paint is fine - cleaning it up off the floor after the handle has given way is not.

As good as you want it to be...
Bit of a get-out clause in the headline, but it's true - like any paint, the overall quality and longevity of the finish is all on the preparation and time you put in. If you are looking for a one-coat-wonder, move along.I had 10 year old "white" gloss on my woodwork (doors, frames, sills, skirting etc.) which had turned as brown as smokers teeth. I therefore wanted a more modern satin finish, and one that wouldn't yellow, so water-based it was. I'd read loads of reviews and comments all over from people saying how much more difficult it is to apply than oil-based. I beg to differ, it's just different, but if you can paint at all, you can paint with this. You get less "working time" I'd say, so paint an area and move on, don't keep going over it. As a result, you do get more brush strokes in the final finish, which in my case is a plus as I like that look, diffusing light even more and giving things a bit of texture like wood. If that's not to your taste, just sand between coats...like I said, all in the prep and time spent.I sanded my old gloss back with 180 grit to remove the sheen, and in the end I needed three thin coats to get a fully opaque finish. This was over what you would consider a reasonably light base, a creamy beige. Some areas such as skirting and thin door surrounds could have got away with two coats, but doors themselves that have lots of surface area definitely needed three. The paint itself is a good viscosity, and not at all watery as some would have you believe. It's silky smooth and goes on well. If you lather it on thick to try and get away with fewer coats, you can do, but your finish won't be as good. You can roller it on, but I found that you needed a brush anyway to feather and smooth over the finish, so I just used good brushes exclusively. I didn't sand between coats, but if you want a completely smooth finish, sand between coats and do more of them.Is it better than oil-based? No, not yet. Is it good enough? Absolutely, and especially knowing that it won't yellow and can now be painted over directly with another coat in a few years to freshen it up to cover knocks and marks. It looks 1000% better than it did before.A friend of mine swears by Dulux Satinwood, also water-based, and she said that you only need two coats of that to cover even dark finishes. I can't speak from experience, but you pays your money and you takes your choice.Clean up though...there's no comparison with oil-based. Drips, spills and brushes clean up a treat with no hassle. Worth it just for that alone, and the fact that there's little-to-no headache-inducing paint odour.

Completely unusable
Recieved my package, the tub had exploded all over the box. So instead of painting my walls I ended up spending hours cleaning up paint from my all over my table and floor.

Game changer
I was recommended this paint by a friend of mine who is a professional decorator. It's an absolute game changer.I have used other water based satin woods in the past, Dulux diamond trade but found that really hard to work with, dried to quickly and caused a lot of dragging although it does stay very white. The WRX satinwood is liquid velvet in comparison and goes on smooth and gives you plenty of time to work with it, spreads evenly, cures well allowing plenty of time to get a good couple of coats on.I used this alongside the "Two fussy bloke" 4" rollers(also bought on amazon) I was also recommended and the end result was absolutely brilliant, whiter than white and a really smooth finish, I would say it's not far off the finish you would get if you were to spray your woodwork. For a water based paint it drys really tough and I will definitely be going over the rest of my doors and frames throughout the house. The added bonus is that being water based the clean up process is so quick and easy. You will not regret using this paint, I for one will never go back to an oil based , yellowing paint.

Wouldn't buy again
I bought this after much research as I wanted to get the best possible finish on new primed doors. It is expensive, therefore I was unhappy that the can is not full. On the plus side, the paint glides on easily and has no odour.. and it does have a lovely low sheen finish. Unfortunately it needs a minimum of 3 coats due to low opacity. For me this is too much in terms of both cost and effort.* Edit* I had emailed the company regarding the volume and received a reply explaining that the cans are deliberately underfilled to allow a gap for adding water, but the volume is as stated.

Excellent coverage and easy clean up.
I read a lot of reviews for this before I bought my first pot. This is my second, and it still does not disappoint. Great coverage and a good finish, plus easy clean up of tools.

Buy direct for better service
The paint is good value - there are better satins but at much higher cost. How the paint survived delivery is remarkable. Laying on it's side in a cardboard box with minimal screwed up paper and no tape or clips to secure the lid! Buy direct from WRX Trade - same price delivered and well packed.
