No good instruction

Usually, a cooker is not associated with fashion, but more with function. I searched internet for quiet for a nice pressure cooker and decided to purchase this one because it looked nice in the webpage, and there is a plenty of functions that I thought I could use. And boy, I am not disappointed. When i opened the package, I was stunned about how nice it looks. The white body, black components, and overall modern design delivered a true fashion statement. The cooker is designed with elegance. Then, I started to use this cooker. The first thing I noticed is the stainless steel inner pot. It feels heavy and thick in my hands, and is great quality. There is quite a lot of selections of functions and that can be confusion. The user manual is helpful, but more so the Product Description of the original Amazon listing itself. The description was so well writen, I just played with the cooker according to the description for a few times. Then, it becomes easy for me to chose cooking programs, selecting pressure levels, set up delaying cooking, and so on. Yesterday, a friend came over to my house, and I explain to her how to use this cooker. She got it in less than 2 min. The cooker cooks good food. Rice always come out perfect puffy, moist, fragrant, and very tasteful. I have just purchased another one as a gift for my sister's birthday and she told me that she loves it. All in all, a great purchase experience and I would highly recommend.

I bought this based on the rave reviews it received on this page. It would have been nice to know that this comes without a cookbook and an instruction manual that is useless. Here's a direct line from the instruction book: add can rub m a small amount of water to wash rice. Or how about this instruction: After cooking, Pressure indicator plunger after landing, cut off power supply, then correctly open lid according to Step 1. Do not fiercely open it. And it talks consistently about music tips, which I have not heard yet.

I purchased a pressure cooker and had problems with way too much steam continuously escaping from the valve. This resulted in loss of sufficient liquid to maintain pressure and it would shut off. Returned it only to have second unit do the same thing (and yes I DID have the valve and lid on correctly!). Went to Amazon and bought this MIDEA one. I LOVE this unit. It is completely quiet. I like the stainless steel pot better than the Teflon coated one my previous pressure cooker had (which I worried about for health reasons). The pot on this unit is also larger. This cooker has a variety of preset buttons but can also be set manually. PLUS it works as as a slow cooker and steamer. So far I love this unit!! I have made several soups from Bob Warden's cookbooks which are specifically geared for electric pressure cookers. Guinness Beef Stew in 30 minutes that was better than anything I ever made in my slow cooker. I can't wait to experiment with more of the features on this unit!!! And yes, I do not want to forget to say that this unit looks unbelievable fashionable and expensive. The design is of the first class.

She said that this cook looks really fancy, and it adds fashion to her kitchen. It comes with detailed user manual so she had no problem starting to use it. They way it is designed, there is no steam so it does not mess up her kitchen at all. In fact, it is oddly quiet during cooking. The stainless steel inner pot gives a sense of very good built and quality, is removable, does not stick, and easy to clean. She now use it 7 days a week, 3 times a day to cooker for her family. She said that all the food including rice always come out perfect. All in all, she really like it and will highly recommend it to anyone. I am that this is one of the few occasions that my gifts has made someone really happy because it is so helpful.

EXTREMELY unhappy with this purchase. the user manual is the worst i have ever seen. I am struggling to figure out how to use this pressure cooker. I contacted the manufacturer (Midea) after sales support and they were unable to help. This is my first pressure cooker. I find myself with an appliance i cannot figure out how to use.

is this a cooker or is this is an piece of art? it is so fashionable that it makes my kitchen looks really hi-tech. There are so many functions that I was scared a bit. But then, I follow the instruction in the Amazon listing, and it become very simple. After a few demonstration, my 80 year old mother-in-law who lives with us is using this to cook! The inner pot is made of stainless steel and is of very high quality. The food came out of this cooker is always great. I am so delighted that I made the decision to buy this cooker.

Atrocious instruction manual. Can't set custom cooking time. No setting for vegetables or steaming. What on earth is the "fragrance" function.....This thing is going back.
