Overall the quality of the compass is as advertised. However, something that I did not notice before ordering is the way in which the degrees are printed on the rotating bezel. The degree numbers are printed in between two tick marks, with no tick mark to clearly indicate what the number is referring to. This makes it VERY difficult to quickly find a specific degree.

The compass looks to be quality built,but the capsule of my purchase moved from side to side in its housing. I would not want to use this on a long trek.

Declination set screw does not work
While the compass does work as a compass, and seems to have relatively good build quality, the prime reason I put based it was for its adjustable declination set screw. So far, both of the units I've recieved (my original order and a replacement after I returned the first) have had declination set screws which did not work. Therefore, if you are looking to buy a compass with adjustable declination, do not purchase this unit.Conversely, if you do not need a compass with adjustable declination, also do not purchase this unit. There are far cheaper options to be found on amazon which will achieve everything this one does.
