JESSICA JONES: ALIAS OMNIBUS [NEW PRINTING 2]

Jessica Jones is admittedly a character I found via other means. one of the first comics I bought, saved up for and got from the shop was the Great Lakes Avenger's with Squirrel girl... I enjoyed it and followed her exploits... eventually she became the Nanny to a little girl who was the daughter of two heroes. Luke Cage and Jessica Jones who were interesting... Luke Cage I knew freom the heroes for hire but Jessica jones was different. New AAvenger's Annual 3 had her return sure but there wasn't a lot for her as the series was mature and I wasn't old enough to buy it.So I waited and when I was able to order the trades I did and it was enjoyable... then they made a series on netflix which was not bad. David Tennet was honestly too good in the role of the Purple man and made a deplorable villain good which didn't sit entirely well. THen when I moved and sold a lot of my old trades the Jessica Jones ones were among them... THen the Uncanny Omar announced this was coming and I jumped at the chance to get it... a hardcover omnibus collecting it all plus a little extra why not.So far Marvel has been doing great on the omnibuses while their current runs of series are bogged down and largely being beaten by manga. The backstory out fo the way... the hardcover is great, solid construction and holds together. Nice looking cover, the pages look crisp and wonderful with the artwork. You even get what if she had joined the avengers. Negatives would be I wish they had included the New Avenger's annual 3 which saw the return of Jessica jones and teaming up with several of the female avenger's... as well as later when she is interviewing for a babysitter for her child as that was pretty fun.I will not spoil the series but it is a good look at a hero who has gone through hell and come out changed... it was a different take to make things interesting.... but I would recommend it for fans of the character or those who collect all of the omnibuses rather then just casual readers.

Insanely well-written, beautiful characterization, delicately told kick-ass story.I now love Jessica Jones.Will now order everything else Bendis has ever written. Instead of just putting it all into my wish list
