A must read for all who want something mast and bindaas ( candid and carefree)!!!
This book by Swati Bansode hits you at the right places! It is candid, it is honest, and it is real! The young author deftly manages to deal with a highly complicated subject like Adulting in the simplest possible way, and this is no mean feat!! By the time you are through with the book, you can't help falling in love with Tara, the young protagonist! You shall have empathy with her character, her pains, her traumas, her dilemmas! You want her to get out of the quagmire she regularly dumps herself in.The story is refreshingly different, and the treatment is quite bold as well, what with the effective use of the F-word at quite a few places! Its impact is huge, when seen in light of its apparently simple intent! Go get it , the new kiddos on the block! And even the OLDIES, to look back and retrospect....

Be within self
Tara isn't happy with her ongoing life. She wants to get rid of monotonous routine. She feels herself lonely in the crowded world, She is in search of the true Tara. But how to ? she doesn't know."All I want is a little clarity and some direction in life. I am not asking for too much, am I?" She always ask herself. One day she gets reply that it's she only, who can answer. The main character Tara actually represents those adults, who struggle hard to live their life on their own. Pshycological conflict, thirst for unknown desire and frustration for no reason are the main ingredients of the story. The way of writing is quite tempting. In nut shell, it's delicious and yummy. Everyone should taste it.

It was a laughter riot
After reading so many intense and deep books this past month, Yours Sincerely, Misfit by Swati Bansode came as a really nice change. The book is about Tara, a 21 year old who comes from a middle-class family. And like all middle-class families, hers is so very protective. And our protagonist just wants an independent life. She shifts to Mumbai, gets a job but oh! The 9-5 setup doesnāt works for her. She wants to do something different, not a job definitely, like all the new generation kids. She keeps complaining about her life, her situation, her future; she complains about everything, because NOTHING IS AS SHE WANTS!Her roommate, Aditi listens and shoulders her problems patiently. There is Kshitij, who after hearing about Taraās constant grumbling, decides on having āchai timeā every evening, where heāll listen all that Tara has to say about. Without judgment. It was such an enjoyable and light read; I relished every bit of it. It is the authorās own story and she has done an incredible work writing it. It was so witty, I have never read anything with so much sense of humor. Even though Taraās problems were real, the author wrote them so comically, I was laughing even when the she was crying. Actually, I couldnāt stop laughing throughout the book. The book got a little stretched out in middle; the complaining part. Taraās whining got a too much at a point, and the author could have shortened that bit. Otherwise, it was a perfect read. The writing style is absolutely amazing. The book is set in Mumbai, and the charactersā way of life was depicted so perfectly, I related to it highly. I loved Aditiās character; the way she supports Tara throughout the book. I loved Taraās and Khsitijās āchai timeā. I donāt know why but I also loved the fact that instead of calling it ātea timeā, the author called it āchai timeā. The language is very simple and godā¦..the wittiness is on another level.Sometimes all you need is a short, light read. And ohā¦.donāt forget your cup of chai!!

A candid and lovable read
This book is a revelation. It is honest and steeped in reality. Many youngsters can relate to the predicament that Tara, the protagonist, finds herself in. She is just twenty one years old, but is unhappy with her current situation. Her journey into adulthood is so typical of today's youngsters. One can't help feeling her emotions and falling in love with her character. The other characters are woven seamlessly into the story and the young author, Swati Bansode, has outdone herself to bring out a realistic readable book. I recommend this book to everyone.

Very impressive first book, looking forward to the next one
The first book by an author is the most important one in his/her career given the fact that it sets the writing style that the readers will judge the future books on. I am happy to say that the Author Swati has done an amazing job of setting her own writing stlye that sets her apart from other readers. She has a way of expression in words that is unmatched by a lot of seasoned authors. Main character is so relatable in all the situations
This book is truly an awesome one. It definitely has the potential to hit everyone at a very different level, as at one point or another all go through the so-called phase. This book did not give me a typical happy ending vibe instead a motivational air starts surrounding and marking an end & a beginning. I was very curious in the last two chapters as those were the last few pages & still the story was on a cliffhanger. Loved it. ā¤ļø š
