I cook quite a bit and I really wanted some larger, more sturdy spurtles. I already have a love of great wooden spoons so this felt like a great next step. These are even better than I had hoped!!! The larger ones are nice and large! I use them with my large pots, crockpots, and my instapot. The smaller ones are the ones I reach for all the time. They are the perfect size and I love that they're safe to use on any pan surface without worry of scratching. I use them stovetop as well as basic prepping. They are sturdy and have a wider and thicker handle so I feel like I can get a better grip in stirring things like bread doughs or thicker batters. Based on the photo I thought I was getting something with lots of open wood grain, like bamboo or something but that is not the case. The wood is beautiful and smooth and cleans up so nicely when hand-washed. I never put my wooden kitchen tools in the dishwasher as they dry out so I only handwash and they still look like new. Every now and then I'll wipe them with a little food-grade mineral oil to perk them up. I love these so much and gift them to everyone I know that loves to cook. HIGHLY recommend.

Perfect for every day cooking

I love these. The finishing on these are wonderful. I love wooden spoons and spatulas. The coating didnt come off nor chip. I was able to use these in my non stick pans without scratching. I also was able to put these in the dishwasher, so far they have stayed the same beautiful finished set!

So.. spurtles are designed for stirring thick soups and poridge. It actually does work better than a spoon or spatula. Not sure its better enough to be necessary but i enjoyed using it on a thick curry last night. So... it works well and is very pretty and well made. Up to you if you want one .

Have to admit I haven’t used them much. The angle seems awkward and I’m hesitant to use because of the finish. They are pretty!
