Jadoo

Jadoo is a delightful novel that will leave you impatient for the sequel. The author has woven an interesting tale of the pleasures and challenges of her main character, Maggie living a "normal" life while intertwining the discovery and development of her special gifts of the paranormal. The disclosure of Maggie finding her true place amongst apparent strangers was heartfelt. I was particularly impressed with the tender and pure relationship as it develops between Maggie and Peter, a testament to first love. The author did a great job expressing the protective and nurturing actions of caretakers and the gentle and often naivety of the young all while skillfully weaving a tale of their lives together. It is especially refreshing to read a novel that is so intergenerational and appropriate for all ages! I cannot wait to share it! I look forward to the sequel and applaud this new author for her cleverly penned first novel! Bravo!

This book is amazing!!!!! I will tell you that I usually do not read fiction. However, this book caught my attention so I purchased it. It is truly a story that you will not be able to put down. From the first paragraph to the last line will keep you so interested you will not be able to put it down. I read this book in 4 days. Missy Marianne Sevier job well done. Hard to believe that you are a first time author. Maggie and Peter seemed very real to me as well as the other character's. This book is great for teenagers as well as adults. Buy it you will love it. I like the other reviews, cannot wait for the second sequel to come out. I purchased this book Jadoo from amazon.com and did get the kindle version.Congratulation's on a job well done. Amazing

I just finished reading Jadoo and I am glad to report I was glad I purchased this book.The story revolves around Maggie, a child who at an early age is orphaned and adopted by a lovely couple in a small town, Milford, Ohio. But Maggie, despite appearances, is not your normal child. She is "gifted". She learns what her gift is by accident and she meets others who, also gifted themselves, help her find her place in the world. Sorrounded by family and loved ones, Maggie leads a life as normal as possible, but chaos ensues when others find out about her gift.The story is well written and the book is hard to put down. If you want to know that Maggie's life is like and what happens to her, get the book. You will be glad you did!I can't wait for the next installment of Jadoo!

I purchased this book on a Kindle app on my iPad. In the past I have struggled reading books because my mind would tend to wonder about work, other duties... I had no issues with this book. It kept me intrigued and interested to the point that I would tell myself "I'll stop at the end of the chapter" only to find out I had to keep reading to see what happened next. In addition to the amazing story, the character development was such that I found myself really caring for Maggie, Peter... I can't wait for the next book in the series.

This book is a very pleasant read. The book takes a peek into a world a little bit beyond our own. You can tell that the author is a very intelligent person with fresh new ideas. It was fun to read and try to figure out what is going to happen next. The story twists and turns into a very clever ending that leaves you wanting to read more. I am anxiously waiting for the next book in the series.

Good book by a new author. Love the story from the opening mystery with suprising twists and turns along the way. The character development was well thought out and you could share their excitment and anguish throughout the story.The story was easy to read and follow and my 11 year old granddaughter enjoyed it as much as I did.Can't wait for the next book!

Could not put the book down, which says a lot for someone who traditionally does not like to read. Loved everything about it and finished the book in less than five days!! Intrigue and true love were so beautifully intertwined. The characters jump out of the pages and are so believably real. Have several friends I plan on buying copies for. What's next for Maggie?
