The Daytrippers

A true gem. An indie film with a superb cast as well as a marvelous script and direction from Greg Mattola. I'm so glad I saw this reviewed on TV; otherwise I never would have been aware of it. The humor comes largely from the pain of the characters in The Daytrippers, and the characters are diverse and believable. The late Anne Meara turns in a particularly brave performance here -- and by brave, I mean, Anne Meara is a very funny and likeable person who plays an unlikeable character, but pulls no punches. This is one of my favorite films. I've seen it several times.Since The Daytrippers, Greg Mattola has gone on to direct the film Superbad, as well as episodes of Arrested Development and The Newsroom. Great projects for him. I hope that he starts writing again, too.

I would give the quality of this VHS zero stars if I could. It has text over it saying something about not duplicating the tape throughout the movie and the top is scrunched at times and it starts to flap towards the end of the movie and makes noise like it's distorted. I have no idea why someone would have that text appear on a tape that has already been purchased. If you're selling it to me with that text then you need to let the consumer know, because obviously it didn't stop whoever made this tape from producing more with the same text. You think it's going to stop someone from duplicating if it didn't stop this dude and ruined my viewing experience throughout. I'm sending back and asking for my money back. Horrible quality!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I received this video in quick time, and both the packaging and content were great! Sometimes older movies that have been put into DVD have this awful shadowing where the scenes get suddenly dark. This copy was excellent and had only a couple of seconds of shadowing at the very end. I wold purchase from this vendor again.

This movie is so funny!!! I love Parker Posey and this is one of her best movies! Her mother's character is practically in love with her boyfriend, Carl. I think the mother loves Carl more than Parker Posey's character. The whole family is a riot! A movie you can watch again and again!

I love this movie! I had been looking for this movie for years. I was very excited to receive it. The movie was brand new and in excellent condition. This movie has dry humor buy give it a chance you will be laughing out loud.
