iBasso DC03 Portable USB DAC/Headphone Amp, USB-C to 3.5mm Audio Adapter, Black

The product works quite well with my windows PC but does not work with my 4th generation ipad air. Do be aware of this if you intend on using it with the ipad air as I had intended to.

Works on my Samsung Galaxy S21 5G. Big improvement vs. Bluetooth sound quality over stock stereo in my truck. I plan to upgrade the audio in my car with new speakers, possibly an amp and head unit . . . I expect to only squeeze more fidelity from my phone this way. I play CD quality and hi Rez from Tidal streams and digital files. I have much higher end components in my home. If you have low resolution, mp3s or lossless files your sound quality will be poorer than better sources. Actually a good DAC may make imperfections in your source more evident so don't blame the DAC if your source files are garbage. I take calls over Bluetooth but listen to music via the DAC and 3.5mm input at the same time. My version of Android (version 11) lets you choose the output for audio playback even if Bluetooth is in use for calls. Very handy. Depending on the app I'm using I'll get a dialog asking of it can take control of iBasso or something like this. If you choose yes and it doesn't work then choose no. It seems to depend on the app you're using to play music.

Combine with USB Audio Player Pro on Android for an amazing sounding setup. I am using it with KZ ZS10 IEMs. Dare I say it sounds better using this on my samsung s20 than my LG with quadDAC? Yes I do dare say that. I'm only running 320kbps mp3s but the sky is the limit if you have patience and storage for lossless!

I dont listen to high-res files but there is still a jump up in sound quality, and the amplification of the sound is great too. I can now drive my superlux 668B's from my phone. Worth every pennie.

This product does not work with my iPhone 12 even after buying the recommended usb to lighting adapter.

Ever since they raised the price on the Tempotec Sonata HD Pro, this is the new best value dongle. Great power and now with a much more durable USB-C connection.

Im no audiophile but this did make a dramatic improvement in my audio quality vs stock.

Increased the intensity of the music from Soundstage to bass worth the money

Ce petit dac fonctionne à merveille sur tablette et smartphone. Bonne amplification :Les + :- Bonne scène sonore (avec des fichiers de qualité bien sûr).- Bonne puissance (capable d'alimenter des casques un peu gourmands sans difficulté).- plug and play.- son légèrement chaud. Basse profonde sans étouffer le reste du spectre, médium légèrement en retrait mais clair et flatteur, aigu clair également sans sibilance.Le seul - :- incompatibilité avec mes deux PC (non reconnu par W10) et pourtant les drivers sont à jour.Bref, je recommande pour un usage nomade mais attention pour une connexion PC.

ヘッドホンはSONY MDR-1AM2。モバイル用DACは、以前 ①エレコム AD-C35SDBK、②Creative Sound BlasterX G1を使っていましたが、今ひとつだったので、iBasso DC03を試しました。本当はDC04+"4.4㎜オス－4.4㎜オス"ヘッドホンケーブルにしたかったのですが、"4.4㎜オス－4.4㎜オス"ヘッドホンケーブルに適当なのが見つからなかったのでDC03にしました。DC03をWindows10 PCに挿せば一応使えますが、ibasso.comから ①専用ドライバ Win OS USB-DAC driver for DX160/DC seriesをダウンロード・インストール（この過程でDC03を2回抜き差しする）し、② 最新ファームウエア DC03/DC04 FW V1.1.0 Apr 2,2021へアップデートすることをお勧めします。音は特に中低音がクリアになり、かつスネアのパンという立ち上がりが良くなりました。が、上記ドライバやファームエアのダウンロード・アップデート説明が、英語だけ（かつ経験者向け）で若干難しいので★-1としました。

In terms of sound quality, this DAC is excellent however, I have been having compatibility issues and will sometimes work on my Samsung S20 Ultra. Once the DAC is removed from the device, it fails to work again until the phone is rebooted. It appears this is also a common occurrence for many other users and has been around for other IBasso DACs.

iPad Air 4で使おうと思ったが接続しても認識しない。これは残念。Galaxyの廉価版端末でも認識できない。ただGalaxy Note 9では問題なく使える。Windowsパソコンでも問題なく使えるのでここで使う事にした。Galaxyで使う時は、音量をMAXにしてUACツールで音量コントロールすると音質が良い感じである。K371で使っているがとても良い。このヘッドホン AI-1で使うとホワイトノイズが出るがこのdc3ではノイズは無い。またScalettでは、このヘッドホンのようにインピーダンスが低いものを使うと音が歪むという話があるが、dc3ではここらへんのインピーダンスをターゲットとしていると思うので問題ない。ただK712を使うとdc3の粗さを感じるのでK371専用として使っていこうと思う。小さいので手軽に使える。同じような大きさでもっと高機能の物も売られているが、機能が高いと発熱も大きくなる。そこまで機能を使うのか？と思う。電池の消耗を考えるとdc3は良いと思う。
