Hi. It can't be pinned to the shirt. It goes either on the belt or around the neck with the chain it comes with. Hope that helps!

Q: Does this clip on thicker belts? I currently have a holder but when u take off thick belt it doesn’t go back to original position so it is loose

It will go back to the original position but the clip is extremely strong and you have to almost bend it to fit whatever belt you wear.
