These books are a great way to introduce the rules of play to your kids. My kids love them and honestly I learn from them too.

Informative for grandson’s first year in baseball
Grandson just beginning youth baseball (age 7) said he enjoyed reading the book Grandpa gave him and has read it 3 times.

Baseball Rules Book for kids
I really love this book. It explains almost every rule in baseball. Well made, hard cover, colorful pictures. Easy to understand. I gave this to my niece who had a baby boy. She is very much a baseball geek, and she said, "she absolutely loves this book". She can't wait for her son to get old enough to read it to him. When he starts little league baseball, he will already know the rules.

This is a great book for kids learning about baseball!! My son loves it! He is 7 and plays baseball!

Great intro for first time player (2nd grade and younger)!
This book was a great intro for a first time player and helped ease anxiety over being the new little guy joining a team where others had already had a year or more of playing experience. It was informative and age-appropriate (for a 6/7 year old) and the little character dude's comments on each page made it funny and enjoyable. I would recommend this for someone second grade and below.

Lots of good facts about baseball. A child old enough to read would enjoy it more than a very young child.
I purchased for a 3 year old and it was a little advanced. Slightly too detailed for a very young reader and is fairly long but a good intro to baseball for boys or girls that show a love for the sport. An older child might enjoy it more.

Very Impressed
My son said they had recently bought another book in this series about hockey and said that they would like the grandson to have the baseball and football book as well. They were right - easy to understand while covering all things you need to know about the sport! My husband read through them and said there were things explained that he didn't know. Great use of learning and reference material for any age!
