Hartz Home Protection Lavender Scented Dog Pads, XXL 40 count, Super Absorbent & Won't Leak, Odor Eliminating

I’ve done a detailed comparison of this Hartz product, which I was attracted to because of the lavender scent and the pretty lavender edging color, and the similar size product from Amazon Basics. I have two dogs, one of whom is elderly and cannot be counted on to control her bladder, and the other of whom is inspired by the elderly dog’s inside-the-house urination. Dog wee wee pads are essential in my kitchen. The bottom line is that Amazon basics is just a lot better. It holds more urine, the dogs go to it better, and it’s just a better product — and equivalently priced. By the way, the dog spray attractant called “go here” is the best one I have used for my dogs. Their success rate if I spray it right into the middle of a new pad is quite high. I hope this helps others.

We trained our Yorkies 2 with Hartz XXL training pads from puppies. These dogs are10 years and have used Hartz pads, in the crate open at all times to use if needed especially at night as one dog is diabetic and the other one just likes get up at night. Hartz has been the go to potty pad no smell and absorbs a larger urine spot well.CarolinAZ

FINALLY!!! I’ve had Chihuahuas most of my life & currently have two... a 4 1/2yo & an 8 1/2yo. They both are trained to go outside & on the pads during the night or during the day if there is inclement weather & cannot go outside. I’ve read the reviews of every known potty pad product out there. This one is legit! Immediately absorbs the urine & turns it into a gel! The absorbency is like no other brand I’ve tried! And NO PEE PAW TRACKS!! Plus, the tile floor in the bathroom doesn’t smell of urine at all! There’s a slight lavender scent, but not overpowering or just ‘mixing’ w/the smell of urine like some other ‘supposed‘ odor eliminating brands say they do. And if my diabetic Chi goes a few times during the night, I would always cringe when I go to remove it, expecting to find leaky urine under the pad. But not once has that happened since I began using Harte Home protection Odor eliminator, leak proof & high absorbency pee pads! I’d give it 10stars if I could!!!

These are great! Error on it’s listed as unscented on the request for stars page. These are a light scent so you never smell the urine or poop. Humans do smell the lavender.gel most. When you put on the floor. It traps the smell. Urine will run off the pad if your dog drinks a lot of water. I put 2 together. My dog is 60 pounds of muscle a Chow chow medium size he never went potty anywhere else in our apartment. Just only in my laundry room on his pads. So trained. Outside he won’t even poop.Lol! A plus as the community fines $500. If you do not pick it up. He is a rescue I brought him home at 2 and the sweetest pet I ever had and these are the best pads! I tried 2 other brands Awful and Hartz brand has got to be the oldest brand they do get wet underneath a bit but never runs.

If you are going to use this product to prevent accidents with a senior dog, be prepared to wet an area with a small amount of the dog's urine so s/he recognizes the spot as ok for peeing. My dog thought it was a new rug, at first, and continued to pee on the kitchen tile. You also have to become more diligent about watching them after they eat or drink as their hearing may not be as keen and their muscles are not as strong. They want to do the right thing, but they are (after all) old. We owe them our greater attention for the years of service they have given, don't we?

These are my favorite and I’m kicking myself for not buying more. As usual the price doubled when I went to buy more. I have two small service dogs 10-12 pounds, but I have dr appts in another town and s one is older I like to have these if needed. I was worried they wouldn’t use them w the lavender smell, but they took right to them. Now when I’m stranded in a hospital it dr for hours miles away I don’t have to worry about finding surprises at home. I prefer the xxl. Idk why companies insist on making the ridiculous 21”x21” size. I suppose it’s just so they can charge 4x more for a reasonable size. I bought another brand when the price doubled. And ironically a day after I bought the other brand it’s price dropped. Amazon pricing is nuts. I miss these so much bc the others I bought were the tiny 21” square size. Stupid small.

I have an elderly dog whose hind end is paralyzed. Most of the time she makes it outside to go to the bathroom, but there are times when she doesn't sense that she has to go. I just bought a new house and was concerned about the hardwood floors, so I started putting these pads underneath her. They are wonderfully absorbent. The only downside is that after using them for several weeks, the lavender scent has started to get to me. As a result, I have started ordering the unscented.

I really like the size of these pads. Their absorbency is wonderful. I have 2 small dogs (around 5 lbs each) that use them and the size is just right for the both of them. I use 2 pads daily. The smell of the lavender really keeps the smell of the urine and poop under control. I have used them for several years now. As long as they continue to make them with the same quality, with the same results, I will continue to purchase this pad.

I like the dimensions of the product but find that the pad may not be as absorbent as I would prefer.My pug is a senior dog and has incontinence so I use these everywhere they are functional but not heavily absorbent.For dogs with the same concern or issue I would have preferred thicker training pads but find very few alternatives. For the price and quantity provided in a pack this seems to be a reasonable offering as I go through at least two a day.

Good product but a bit pricey. Though I wouldn’t want to trade quality over cheaper price.

En ninguna parte encontraba este tamaño y en otros lugares en lugar de ser pañales absorbentes. Parecen pañales realmente valen la pena!!!!! Satisfecha al 100%

Es bueno aunque luego luego traspasa al piso no absorbe mucho, pero si es bueno para educar a los cachorros

Excelente absorción de líquidos y no se derraman , además inhibe el olor de los orines , su precio un poco alto pero vale la pena
