HKS Revolver Speedloader for S&W 686 Taurus 617, 817, 827, 66, Black, 1 Pack, (587-A)

Works as described. Use with my GP100 7-round. There are many other more expensive options but this is the easiest and most reliable, in my opinion. Own about a dozen different sized HKS speedloaders and I'm very happy with the price and quality.

I have about a dozen of these and one of them had a poorly bored out hole that did not release the round. That being said, I know the other 10+ work just fine, and I trust them with my life

This will also fit the Taurus 627, .357 Tracker. Some mentioned it now being made with plastic, yes but just the cylinder, all stressed parts are metal. I have both and the only difference it the plastic is lighter. Don't be hesitant to purchase

They hold 7 rounds nice and tight.

I like thus speedloader. It loads my resolver fast and works well. It easy to use and is dependable. I use it for my Taurus 38/357 and I'm please with it performance.

If you think you might need a fast reload sometime in the future, this is a very good item to have.

I enjoy my revolver, but let's face it: if I were ever in a firefight, I would have a real disadvantage if I had to reload! With this speed loader, I can mitigate that disadvantage a good bit by equivocally loading 'one bullet' and twisting a knob to get seven rounds loaded up. Even if I'm just at the range, it is very nice to be able to reload really fast a few times before having to go one-by-one.The only thing I can say on the slightly negative is that it can sometimes be difficult to lock the cartridges into the speedloader, but that may just be a matter of learning how to use the product. Unlocking is never a problem.By the way, make sure you read the product description to verify that it works with your gun. It works perfectly for the S&W 686+, but of course, the product title says that pretty clearly!
