Made My Little Gas/Wood stove Fan Run Like New Again! Very Reasonable!
I have an expensive Cafrano Gas Stove Top Fan that stopped working. I used a different thermal paste a couple weeks ago and it stopped working after a few days so I took the fan apart again. That other thermal paste was too thick and actually glued itself to the cover of the peltier and ripped the cover off the peltier as I was trying to take it apart. Then, the wire came out of the peltier. Oooooh NO! So since the peltier was opened up, I figured I'd try cleaning it up on the inside using electrical cleaner and brush to clean out all those tiny little metal squares, I soldered the wire back into the corner and closed it up. It's a tiny little square flat pancake that generates electricity to turn the fan motor (so cool). I put this paste around top and bottom of both peltiers (this fan has two of them), put it all back together and Eureka! It actually worked and fan's been working great all week. It runs like new, blows a lot of hot air, and is so pretty with brass blades. This paste works great and was referred by a "how to fix your wood stove fan" you tube video, plus I have half a tube left. Buy it!! Good Stuff!

So far, So good
Bought this to install a new fan relay on my 2001 Jeep WJ Laredo. Relay attaches to metal and becomes hot during use. Used this paste between relay and car body. Working great so far.

Looks Good for the Price
Thermal Grease is a crap shoot as to its actual performance like thermal resistivity, aging, etc. This stuff looks good and is better than nothing at a reasonable price, unlike the "famous" brands that suck in the gullible at premium prices. No thermal grease ages well. So, with that in mind, save your money and use this cheap stuff unless you're a testing laboratory with tens of thousands of dollars worth of test equipment at your disposal to competently evaluate the slight differences in performance between this low priced brand and the over priced premium brands. I recommend the Star Tech grease.

Great heatsink compound!
I had a very old NuWave® that started making a noise. When dis-assembled I found the fan was the culprit which I cleaned and lubed but when re-assembled, the unit made a strange whine with a vibration. Upon dis-assembling again, I found the original heatsink compound in the unit was hard and cracked. I scraped it off and replaced it with this "StarTech.com 20g Tube CPU Thermal Paste Grease Compound" then re-assembled. The unit now works just as it did when it was new. The "StarTech.com 20g Tube CPU Thermal Paste Grease Compound" was easy to apply and cured the issues!Note: My wife and I ran an electronic repair shop from 1983 to 1992 before going into the computer business and I do not recommend dis-assembling any electronic device unless previously skilled!Rated: March 13, 2024
