Elton John - Red Piano [2 DVD + CD] [NTSC]

No much needs to be said about the musical qualities of Elton John. This concert proves this again. It is a top performance of Elton John, and like good wine the older he gets the better he becomes. This concert was originally performed in Las Vegas, but after 200+ concerts, Elton John decided to a small world tour with his exclusive shiny red piano. I was fortunate to see his performance in Rotterdam and can keep this memory alive with this set. You can listen to his concert (on CD) of enjoy it on screen (on DVD) and read about it in the booklet.

This DVD is fantastic and well worth the money in this 3 disc set.On the main concert there is the usual classic hits that are associated with Elton John along with All That I'm Allowed from the album Peachtree Road.The sound and stage is fantastic as are the videos that were created by David LaChappelle.Elton's voice is on top form and you see him interacting and joking with the audience as he introduces some of his songs.There is a bonus music CD and also a bonus DVD with extras such as interviews.Highly recommended.

Wonderful quality and organization of the original Red Piano show (2005)! I got it at a perfect time, just after seeing the Red Piano show in Stockholm! The extra DVD is GREAT! Good & entertaining interviews and wonderful long clips of Elton's 200th Red Piano Show from June 2008! I was very very very pleased with this!!!!

Thought it was the 2 dvd and cd version found it was 2 dvds and 2 cds much better.

Ein unglaublich gutes Konzert! Bunt, schrill, poppig, einfach "Fun", passend zu einer Stadt wie Las Vegas. Elton John mit sauberer, kräftiger Stimme, und die Band hat richtig Spaß am Jammen. Da könnten sich die Musiker von heute mal ein großes Stück von abschneiden!Zur Kritik von BlueRooster:Das Bild mit dem Mann, der den Kopf in den Backofen steckt, hat wenig mit künstlerischer Freiheit zu tun. Es ist eine Anspielung auf Elton Johns Selbstmordversuch, den er im Lied "Someone Saved My Life Tonight" verarbeitet. Sehr viel Videomaterial der Show ist eine Hommage an die Vergangenheit. Und zu den Plastikbrüsten: Es ist Las Vegas! Sex, Drugs & Rock'N'Roll! Meiner Meinung nach perfekt audiovisuell dargestellt.

THE REASON I BOUGHT THIS RED PIANO TOUR VIDEO IS I WAS THERE THAT NIGHT WHEN THEY FILMED THIS VIDEO OF THE RED PIANO CONCERT. IF YOU LIKE ELTON JOHN "NO EXPLANATION IS NECESSARY" iT WAS A GREAT NIGHT AT CESAR'S PLALACE IN VEGAS. GREAT MUSIC, VOCALS AND THE BAND WAS GREAT. IT WAS GREAT TO SEE ELTON LIVE AND IT WAS EVERYTHING MY WIFE AND I EXPECTED, GREAT MUSIC, SONG AND THE BAND WITH ELTON WAS GREAT. I ALWASY TELL MY WIFE DURING THE NUMBER WHEN PEOPLE WERE ALLOWED TO GO UP ON THE STAGE AND DACNE AROUN ELTON FOR ONE SONG I TOLD MY WIFE "YEAH THERE IS THE LADY IN THE RED DRESS" I REMEMBER SEEING HER AND OTHERS GOING UP ON STAGE DANCING AROUNG ELTON. SO NOT TO RAMBLE ON I RECOMMEND THIS VIDEO TO ANYONE AND EVEN THOUGH MY WIFE AND I WERE IN THE UPPER PART OF THE SHOWROOM DURING THIS VIDEO SHOOT THIS VIDEO GIVES US A CLOSER LOOK AT THE CONCERT A GREAT VIDEO.

Wow, einer der größten Musiker aller Zeiten zeigt hier mit aller Power was er drauf hat. Gigantisch! Auch wenn auf der DVD leider nur eine Selektion der gesamten Show drauf ist, es haut einen trotzdem vom Hocker. Eine riesige Show mit einer einzigartigen Band und einer lebenden Legende in Bestform. Was will man mehr!Das Bonusmaterial und die Audio CD ergänzen das großartige Konzert schließlich zu einem wirklich gelungenen Paket.
