Slightly disappointed with speed when there's a cache
It works so that's good. The driver is on a mini-cd.I'm disappointed by the speed. Put it into a pcie 2 full 16x slot (the motherboard offers two full 16x slots so even if one 16x slot is used the other is still running a 16x) and plugged in a usb-c 3.1 super speed stick with 2GB cache. The highest write speed was about 35MB/s with an 11GB file transfer and no cache used for a total of 5m45sRead speed was maybe 100MB/s.In comparison, using a usb 3.1 usb-c to usb-a 3.0 adapter attached to the stick and plugged into a usb 3.0 case port the same 11GB file transferred (write) in 4m33s with the 2GB cache used.So this pcie card is over 1 minute slower for 11GB with pcie 2 16x when there's a cache compared to a usb c to a adapter to usb 3.0 port. Now, IF a newer pcie slot can cause the cache to be used (I doubt it) then it would be fine but I will have no means of testing this for some years perhaps. Or perhaps if you will never plug anything into it that has no cache.As-is I recommend it more for just getting what will be plugged into it out of the way or if you need an extra port for cheaper than just about all other pcie usb-c cards. (I see the price went up a lot and feel if it's similarly priced to others then find out if one of the others will work with cached sticks instead for extra value).

Not a PCIe X1 but a PCIe X4. Benchmarked speed finished at 97.93 Read and 96.56 Write. Great value.
Not a PCIe X1. Needed a PCIe X1 but didn't read the fine print. Plugged this PCIe X4 card in to the PCI X16 slot. It was not plug and play. Win 10 Home 1803 drivers were not found right away. Had to click on update drivers in Device Manager to get it to work. Working fine with Windows 10 Home April 2018 Version 1803 64 bit. Bench tested the read and write speed on a Verbatim 64GB USB 3.0 flash thumb drive using USB Flash Bench software and got 97.93 Read speed and 96.56 Write speed. See the attached photo.

Works with Oculus Link
Purchased to use for Oculus Link for the Oculus Quest VR Headset, seems to work decently enough.
