Good quality
I had surgery to correct a bunion, hammer toe, and a third toe issue. I purchased this product because the padding in the heal of the one that was prescribed by my doctor’s office lost its cushion affect after three weeks of use. So far this product has held up better after the same amount of time. I am female and I wear an 8.5 wide tennis shoe. I definitely have extra room at the end of this medium sized shoe which is fine. The adjustable straps allow for ACE bandages and gauze. I no longer need an ACE bandage or gauze, just a regular sock and found that the shoe is a bit too large now. I thought about purchasing a smaller size, but I will soon be going into a special sandal prescribed by my doctor, so I just wear a thicker sock instead. You will likely get a sore calf muscle at first, but it is not the fault of the shoe. It is simply because the is designed to put all the pressure on your heel instead of your toes. After a while, you will strengthen your muscle and that will not be an issue. I do suggest trying to find a tennis shoe or boot that has equal height as you will have an uneven gate otherwise. Again, not the fault of the product. It is designed the same as the one that my surgeon prescribed. I do recommend this product.

THE BEST FOREFOOT OFFLOADING SHOE FOR PAIN RELIEF & COMFORT
The media could not be loaded. This shoe could have some Pros and Cons, based on what is most important to you:-Do you want a lower platform or is a higher platform ok?Some folks may not have a tall platform shoe to wear with a taller Forefoot Offloading Shoe. Me, I have a huge selection of platform shoes so platform height wasn’t a concern for me.-Do you want rounded toe box or a square toe box? While I prefer rounded, I was willing to wear whichever shoe would relieve my pain the most.-Do you want an “even” walking feel or are you ok with an Offloading Shoe that “sinks” your heel a bit?I thought I wanted a nice “even” feel, but this design which sinks my heel down a bit kept more pressure off of my forefoot which made walking significantly LESS painful.-Higher platforms tend to sink your heel while standing/walking; lower platforms seemed to keep my foot more even … but I found the sunken heel relieved more of my foot pain (top priority) as it kept more weight off of my forefoot. While I experienced back-muscle pain with both tall and short platforms, as you have an uneven gait while wearing the shoe, other reviewers mention the back-muscle pain is only temporary as you’ll either get used to walking in the Shoe or you’ll be healed and can stop wearing the Shoe :-)This shoe is AMAZING:The two highly adjustable straps made for a perfect fit whether broad or narrow foot, design of the ankle strap prevented any shoe slippage without cutting off circulation (I have a narrow heel so this was my favorite feature), the shoe without socks feels soft on your skin, it has a square toe box which protects your toes, it did not slip at all while walking on carpet and/or tile, it’s a higher platform shoe with a sunken heel which for me seems to alleviate more pain, the heel platform is slightly rounded so you don’t walk like Frankenstein, and with an accompanying similar height shoe on my other foot I found this shoe quite easy to walk in and very comfortable to wear. The only downside I found was the front of the shoe creates a clack’ing sound with each step (clack, clack, clack) … but that could be just me as I wear a 7.5-8 shoe and this shoe fits up to a size 9. Either way it’s no bother — I only wear it when I run errands, and everything else about this Shoe is just so perfect.I purchased a second shoe, lower platform, for comparison (See Photos). If you’re looking for a Forefoot Offloading Shoe that is very comfortable, highly adjustable, and great at relieving pain then you will l o v e this shoe :-)

Great for people with injured toes.
The media could not be loaded. My wife injured her toe, and these shoes allow her toe to remain elevated, preventing further injury. The shoes are lightweight with a non-slip design, so they don't add extra weight. She can walk in them, and they help her recovery. They are perfect for people with injured toes. The fast shipping solved my big problem. Thank you.

Misleading Sizing
Misleading Sizing – DisappointedI ordered this post-op boot based on the size chart provided, but what I received was way off from what was described. Despite following the listed measurements carefully, the boot was either too tight or too loose (depending on your experience), making it uncomfortable and unusable during recovery. It’s incredibly frustrating to rely on a product during a vulnerable time and find that the sizing information is incorrect. Definitely feels misleading—I hope they update the listing to reflect accurate sizing to prevent others from going through the same hassle.

Little slippery on smooth floor. Pay attention to size.
Only issue is the slippage. It is like a ladies’ dress shoe. Slides on slick floor like hardwood but ok on carpet. Hard plastic with no rubber. Purchased a “surgical shoe” for a foot fracture at advice of orthopedist. Urgent care supplied a boot, but orthopedist suggested shoe to increase range of motion and to prevent physical therapy to re-strengthen ankle. As suggested, wear it when short distances without crowds. Wear 8.5 Women shoe. S fits very well. When in doubt, order larger. The more shoe beyond your toe, the better the protection, but you want to keep proper offload as well. Find videos as to proper use. This isn’t “normal walk.” This is step and catch up. Focus on body position. First day hurt but friend told me to keep my body tall and slow down. My biggest difficulty beyond the slippage was training myself not to try to use only the heel as I was doing before seeking care. Get some cute socks! Everyone will see them. Or black ankle or crew socks to hide it. People I was around didn’t notice shoe until they saw my unusual gait—step, together.

I would order again.
Good quality boot, however for where my injury is, it just doesn't work. Came clean, no signs of prior usage. FYI I just cut a section of a pool noodle for my heel and that has been working out great!

Effective, inexpensive, customizable.
This off-loading toe boot is very effective. It is light weight and built to aid in the healing process. Its light weight construction won't hold up to active use, one would need a much more robust construction for that. The insert removes for easy modification.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Worked perfectly when I broke my pinky toe on the first day of our Disney trip. I was able to comfortable walk all over the parks with this boot.
